If I need something quick and satisfying while on the go, Bojangles is consistently one of my top choices. While it’s a chain, the quality never feels mass-produced—the chicken is always fresh, juicy, and served piping hot. The Cajun seasoning on the fries adds a fun, flavorful kick that really sets them apart. I also appreciate the drink selection, especially having both Sierra Mist and Dr Pepper available, which not every Bojangles location offers. It’s great to have a taste of Southern fast food right in the heart of Frederick.
This particular location is well maintained, clean, and staffed by friendly, welcoming employees. Occasionally, there’s a short wait in the drive-through if a new batch of chicken is being prepared, but that only reinforces their commitment to serving food fresh—and it’s well worth the wait.
My only real critique is the AI-driven order system in the drive-through. While you can request to speak with a team member, the automated system tends to misunderstand orders and can be frustrating to use at times. Thankfully, the staff is quick to step in and help when needed.
With a Raising Cane’s reportedly coming to replace the old Applebee’s nearby, it’ll be interesting to compare the two. That said, Bojangles has already set a high bar when it comes to fast, flavorful chicken done right.

Bojangles absolutely crushed it. The service was incredibly fast, and somehow the food still came out piping hot, which already puts them miles ahead of a lot of fast food spots. The chicken was fantastic—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Honestly, it was way better than KFC. No contest. You can tell it’s fresh and seasoned right, not greasy or bland.
Now the biscuits… wow. These are hands-down the best fast food biscuits I’ve ever had. They were super hot, perfectly crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and loaded with that rich buttery flavor. The kind of biscuit you don’t even need to add anything to because it’s already perfect on its own.
On top of all that, they have Cheerwine, which is easily one of the best drink choices out there and just seals the deal. Between the fast service, hot and delicious food, incredible biscuits, and top-tier drink options, Bojangles completely delivers. If you’re debating where to go for fast food chicken, this is the spot. I’ll absolutely be back.

Cashier was awesome, great customer service. She also gave great suggestions with it being our first time there. Food came out quick, hot and fresh. It was delicious. Also a very relaxing vibe sitting inside. I will definitely be back

I recently tried Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits, and overall, it was just okay.
The fried chicken was decent, nothing special. The chicken sandwich had way too much mayo, which overpowered the chicken’s flavor. The mac and cheese was very plain and had too much starch, making the texture and taste disappointing. The fries were especially hard to enjoy because they were overloaded with seasoning. They had way too much spice, and I honestly couldn’t finish them. Overall, the food wasn’t terrible, but it lacked balance and flavor. I was hoping for better based on the reputation.

I normally come here twice a week never had an issue till today. Chicken was mushy at best, breading was soft an jelly like. Chicken an fries had maybe a literal pinch of seasoning, people behind the desk said sorry no english. Of course they speak english but hey, go figure. Just a shame

The food was good, I got a 2 piece dark with fries and mac&cheese. I’m wondering if it was luck of the draw but my chicken pieces were small. They were almost half sized compared to other fried chicken fast food.
I’ll try again another time but if it happens again, I’d say the serving size isn’t worth the cost.

While the food was absolutely delicious, the service was extremely slow. When we arrived every customer in the restaurant was waiting on food aside from one table. After we ordered our food another customer had told us she had been waiting for over 30 minutes. We did have to wait approximately 40 minutes for our food and were able to hear the staff complaining in the back about their co-workers taking breaks at the wrong times and leaving them short-staffed – although there were at least 8 staff members that we could see while waiting for our food.

The food was so awesome and affordable!!! Also, I went in to pick up my mobile order today, and got greeted and welcomed by the sweetest employees ever. I have a speech impediment and sometimes it is hard for me to verbally communicate and they were very patient with me and helpful in terms of providing me my order. I’ve never seen such kind customer service before. Thank you so much to the two women that were so kind to me! I would return here for the service alone!

First time being at a Bojangles in a long time. It was an excellent experience food was better than the ones I had been to in the past. Highly recommend it friendly staff, quick service, clean establishment you can see back in the kitchen.
