The standard classic Buca. There are none near our home so when we are near one we drop in and stuff ourselves.
We had the “Buca Big” Eggplant parm and Baked Rigatoni dishes. Easily enough to stuff 6 adults. So we have 4 more meals to take to our hotel which has a full size fridge. It’s whats for lunch and dinner.
I know it’s not like Italy (see my reviews there) but we like how Buca makes it.
Service from Lizzie was excellent and with a smily face. I believe she had a nearby Karen take her phone conversation out of speaker. It was greatly appreciated.

Old quirky decors, walls filled with pictures. One old amazing atmosphere.

Unless there is a huge turn around with food quality and service I will be surprised to see this establishment make it through 2026, which is sad because I grew up going here 20 years ago.
The ingredients seemed so cheap it felt like hospital food. That is harsh but the truth. We had to ask our waiter, literally, 4 times to bring us plates and a knife and clear our table to cut the tiramisu we ordered.
For my grandpas 85th birthday they used an actual candelabra and 3 12-inch candles for candles to “blow out.”
Waiter seemed drunk or stoned or both.
I very rarely leave bad reviews but this evening was so offensively lacking both service and food quality it felt like we were being pranked.
I am not a fussy person, and have worked many years in food service. I’ll eat the wrong dish if my order is messed up, I forgive when waiters get double sat and are busy. But this was none of that. This was carelessness with hospitality that should not be taken lightly. If you are the owner/operator, last night (6/3/26) was so obviously bad to anyone who’s worked food service before, it’s apparent training and team building are necessary for basically all of the employees.

Great Italian food. Had spicy shrimp those were yummy. Cesar salad was crunchy with appropriate dressing. The chicken was soft and tender with delicious marinara sauce. The best part was our server Lizzie, she is very sweet person, gave us the details about the menu which helped us to decide the best dishes.

Buca has fabulous lunch specials for 10.99 and up. Their Eggplant Parmigian is still among the best anywhere. I had the Eggplant with a side salad, two wedges of garlic bread (YUM),a side of Spaghetti Marinara, and an iced tea for under $20.00 … with enough leftovers for dinner. On a sour note. One of my friend was disappointed with his Caesar Salad, but also got a hunk of Tiramisu that should last 3 or 4 days. Also, they no longer have an Espresso machine. Their family sized dinners are awesome. If you have never been there, or it’s been a while, you owe yourself a trip there.
