Reviews
Tratto has a pleasant environment and the food itself is good, but unfortunately the service really took away from the experience.
We first tried room service for breakfast, and it was honestly painful—the person we spoke with sounded in a very bad mood, which immediately set a negative tone.
We decided to give it another chance and went for dinner, but the experience was even worse. We sat at the bar, and while there was a large Christmas party going on, the staff seemed overwhelmed and very evasive. We ordered a glass of wine and asked to make a small change. The waiter had already poured it, then abruptly took the glass, dumped it into the sink, and appeared visibly annoyed. Eventhough, we tried several times to make eye contact or get his attention, but we were completely ignored.
If you’re looking for a relaxed date night or a pleasant dining experience, you may want to skip this place and go somewhere else. The food and setting have potential, but the service needs serious improvement.
We were there early on a Monday evening, so it wasn’t very busy. It never ceases to amaze me when checking in if you have a reservation, yet the whole dining area is empty.
We ordered a beet salad for an appetizer and the entrees we had were the Spaghetti con Vongole, and the Gnocchi pesto. Both were very good.
The servings are adequate but not huge.
The service was hit and miss. We waited several minutes for the table to be cleared and we still had to ask for the check.
