Outstanding Service That Elevates an Already Excellent Meal
If you’re looking for a place where great food meets truly exceptional service, Hamaru delivers on both fronts.
The food was fantastic, fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Every dish arrived exactly as it should, well-timed and beautifully presented. It’s clear the kitchen takes pride in consistency and quality.
That said, what truly made this experience memorable was our server, Tae. From the moment we sat down, Tae’s attention to detail was unmatched. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive without ever being intrusive. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, checking in at just the right moments, ensuring everything was perfect, and making thoughtful recommendations that enhanced our meal.
In my 25+ years of dining and reviewing restaurants, service like Tae’s stands out. He treated our table with genuine care and professionalism, turning a great dinner into an exceptional dining experience.
Hamaru is fortunate to have someone like Tae representing their brand. We will absolutely be back, not just for the food, but for the outstanding service that sets this place apart.

This place is my new favorite place in Killeen, Texas. Food was delicious and we had outstanding service. Some of the food dishes were enough for two people to eat which is perfect if you like to try multiple things and share. This place is truly amazing for the area and location. I really enjoyed how they had a variety of foods from sushi to soups. This is a must try if you’re ever in this area. The only downfall I would say is seating. But they do have single seating bar type eating areas.

I absolutely adore this place. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is small but cozy and doesnt feel cramped.
However, my favorite thing about this place is the customer experience.
I spilled the last couple of inches of a boba tea I ordered (earl Grey milk tea with brown sugar boba) and even though I told them I didn’t need a replacement they made me a fresh one, and since it was near the end of my meal, they put it in a Togo cup for me.
I’ve been here a few times, and have brought friends, but they have earned a customer for as long as I live around here. Absolutely amazing customer service.

First time ordering and did not disappoint. I had the karage, and very similar to a spot in Hawai’i. Love it! Ordered for the 2nd time today, bulgogi plate. Delicious. Just wish it was a bit spicy but other than that it was delicious!

This was our first time at Hamaru, and it was a 2 for me. The food wasn’t bad, but it was nothing special and pretty mediocre. We got the miso ramen and shoyu ramen. The shoyu one tasted like what you could get from an instant ramen package from HEB. However, the drinks were pretty good. We got a yuzu lemonade and mango jam with jasmine green tea (not pictured).

This place was so yummy! We were pleasantly surprised for our date night, we had the chicken and the pork ramen. It was flavorful and not overly spicy at all. And the lemonade! Ohhhh so good. Highly recommend and so happy something like this is in centex!

Fun place to come enjoy Japanese sushi and cuisine. We had a great customer service and they were very prompt with our order. It is very loud and exciting atmosphere. It’s a bit more for kids 6 and up in my opinion but regardless it was delicious to dine in. Also everything was fresh and prepared properly for us to eat.

Beautiful ramen spot. Better than a lot of places here in Killeen, I got the tonkatsu ramen and the shrimp tempura roll.The ramen tasted absolutely delicious, flavorful, broth was hot when served all the topping combined great with the noddles and broth very very well. The shrimp tempura roll was also great. The shrimp was fried and crunchy at the bite, the sauces that came with it complemented the roll perfectly I recommend it for anyone who goes. Overall a great restaurant I love the vibe in there, the great music choice, the lighting, the decorations, and the severs were very enthusiastic all of them were helpful in case of anything I needed great attitude and hard working. The server Nat is absolutely amazing at her job very quick, nice, understanding, and overall a great server. From the experience I had I love this restaurant and plan to come back very often I give it 5stars!!!
