Pretty tasty thin crust pizza, pepperoni not greasy. The side ceaser salad was just ok. Pinball machines added a nice touch, not very busy on a Tuesday night . Street parking only which can be an issue. Fast service.

Quick, fresh, and tasty. Good value for money. We shared the $10 two-slice and refillable soda deal. The pizza selection is solid, about 10 different flavours on the counter. Pizza is heated and served really fast, with a few dips available. The soda is refillable, or you can grab a can to take away. Tables were a little grubby, we had to wipe ours down with a napkin. The guy who served us was nice enough but couldn’t really be arsed. Definitely worth swinging by if you want something fast and cheap to eat.

I was excited to try this new spot since the pizza actually tastes good, but they should call it pizza jerk. I live less than two miles away, yet my pie arrived ice cold.

When I called to give them a heads up, the guy who answered immediately put me on hold. When he finally got back on the line, he snapped, “What do you need?” with zero professionalism. Little did I know I was going to get a pizza with a big side of attitude for no good reason. When I mentioned the pizza was cold, he talked down to me like I was the stupidest person on earth, saying “Of course it’s cold, it was delivered.”

I order from Baby Doll, Hot Lips, Blind Onion, and Stark Street all the time. They are similar distances away and manage to deliver hot food every single time. If you enjoy being treated like a jerk for pointing out a basic issue, this is your spot. I won’t be back.

My first visit. I stopped in for a quick slice on my way back to the car, to appease my doggo for having made him wait for me. I chose the mushroom-artichoke-blue cheese pizza and was very pleasantly surprised at how good it was, succulent without being soggy and very flavorful. But the best part of his pizza, for the doggo, was the crust — pleasantly wide and not soaked with garlic butter as some are. If he could drive, he’d be headed back for a second slice.

I am actually a Brooklyn born native. Just decided to see if the title is true. It’s good slice of pizza, but if you go to New York the crust is better. It folds and stills holds the ingredients together. This slice is great ingredients but the slice was to flimsy to fold . Atmosphere chill

I order a pizza meaty pizza and expected tons of meat and flavor with onions and other ingredients.

I got my order and I was very disappointed by the look and how thin everything was. The ingredients were just rolling off the pizzas due to how small the ingredients were. Secondly, there was hardly any pizza sauce and the dough was beyond dry. There was barely any flavor or none at all. I feel like this pizza was already frozen since the crust was hard to bite into.

In my opinion, I do not believe this was a NEW York pizza and paid 35.00 for 7 slices. Everyone was looking forward to the pizza whom Portland constantly talks about this place and the reviews. My whole team I bought it for were all disappointed by everything and for the prices, it didn’t even serve 10 people.

It’s been 18 months of pandemic time since I’ve gone anywhere for a slice. When I was finally feeling confident-ish enough to look for a place for a weekday lunchtime visit, the searches I did for my old standbys showed that most of them are doing whole pie take-out or delivery only, and they generally don’t open until 4 PM. SFNY indicated that they were open for lunch, and serving slices.
I was happy to see that all the employees were masked, and that the space for visitors was well marked for customers to keep an appropriate distance from each other.
As for the pizza – it was just what I hoped for. I had a cheese slice with just the right balance between sauce and cheese, as well as a pepperoni slice that was perfectly greasy, just the way it should be. Prices were reasonable, and, though I didn’t opt for the ‘$5 slice and a beer’ special, it was great to see it available.
I’m still trying to avoid indoor spaces in general, but I’m glad to see that Straight From New York is available for pizza by the slice, while keeping the experience safe for their employees and their customers.

Love this pizza shop and been coming for years! Pizza is good, crust is good and the options are equally as good, and getting it by the slice even better. I stop by any chance I get but I for sure make a stop anytime I have a up coming tattoo appointment cause you know gotta eat something first beforehand.

Did the two slices of pizza and soda for $10 deal. About as solid a price as you can probably expect for good slice pizza these days. I got cheese and Hawaiian and they were satisfying and tasty. One of the nice parts about the location is they’ve blocked off a nearby street to set up picnic tables and chairs to sit in. You don’t have to order anything, but it’s nice to have that option if seating inside is full, which it was when I went.
