For almost 90 years The Model Bakery has been a Napa Valley mainstay, offering the best breads, pastries and coffee. Model Bakery is most famously known for their English Muffins which have been featured on Oprah’s Favorite Things List three years in a row! It all began at the flagship Main Street location in St. Helena, then branched out to the Oxbow Public Market in Napa and is now operating in the newly opened Mini Model in Yountville.

Cute cafe and bakery in DT Sonoma. This place was buzzing in the late afternoon. We popped in for some coffee and a bite to eat. Service was pretty quick at the counter and I had to go for the slice of veggie pizza and a coffee. A bit pricier which we expected being in this area but we found a small corner table to sit and relax for the time being. They warmed up my pizza and I thought it was quite tasty. They had some good looking pastries but nothing GF for my hubby. Will definitely come back!

Went to MODEL bakery yesterday for the first time,having driven by many times…it was busy but the line flowed and service was efficient. The vegi scramble sandwich was very tasty as was apricot muffin and Java. I was able to find one spot for standing at front window corner,next to a laptop with no nerd. As I was nearing the end of excellent breakfast,said nerd returned. I mentioned having a slow iPad at home,he immediately livened up with sarcastic “remedies”. Twas an interesting morning experience.

We love Model and live far away now. Purchased two packages of muffins at SFO Terminal 2 market yesterday on my way through. This morning we opened the package to find moldy muffins. No date of expiration anywhere on packaging and they were so expensive for less quantity! Heartbroken and wanted to share as this is unacceptable.

Caveat to say that I didn’t actually go into the bakery… My husband and I stayed at Meadowood over the weekend and they have The Model Bakery english muffin on their breakfast menu. I had heart about it on reddit so I made sure to order it our first morning and boy did it live up to the hype! In my opinion it doesn’t need butter or jam or anything slathered on it. It is perfectly, insanely delicious all on its own.

My out of town friend and I are spending 24 hours in Napa valley based on popular recommendations from our favorite wine tiktok creators. This place was an absolute must try from multiple sources.
And they weren’t wrong. This bakery’s English muffin is absolutely INSANE!
Their Canadian bacon sando was awesome!
The lavender latte was delightful, and our biscuit sandwich and GF apricot muffin were also pretty good!
Don’t skip out on this spot just because it’s “too popular”, you’ll regret it!

Our first day required a recommended visit to Model Bakery at Oxbow Market in Downtown Napa. Very small with lots of offerings. Had to try their English muffins and they lived up to the hype. Excellent!

I was standing in line when a staff member came and told me to move forward to order. But after I placed my order, they gave the item to the person behind me instead. This was a terrible service experience. I really don’t understand — if there’s a line, the person who comes first should be served first. What’s the point of having a queue if staff ignore it?
I come here often and have never experienced anything like this before. The team management should really provide proper staff training. If there’s a designated line for ordering, please make sure it’s respected.

Late Dec2024 Passed by on an afternoon while walking along the commercial area of the toen of St Helena. Unfortunately, a lot of the products have already sold out, which is a good sign usually of the popularity of specific goods.
The service is primary behind the counter.
