I went to the Domino’s at 204 W Alexander St in Plant City to pick up my order, ready to pay with a $50 bill. They refused to accept it, claiming store policy doesn’t take bills larger than $10. There’s a sign on the door confirming this odd rule. I didn’t have any other form of payment on me, so I couldn’t take the pizza.
The staff (including someone named Riley and another who said “hope”) were extremely rude about it. One told me that’s fine, they’ll just throw the pizza away anyway, and then said I “needed to learn to read English” because of the sign. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful, no apology, no attempt to help, just attitude.
I’ve never seen a pizza place turn away cash like this over a common bill, especially when it’s clearly posted but still poor customer service. The pizza might be fine, but the way they treat people is terrible. Avoid this location if you’re paying cash.

Thank you for the response, Mohammad.

I appreciate the apology and the offer to make things right, but I wasn’t looking for compensation, a free pizza, or any handout. The core issue was the store’s policy of refusing common $50 bills (with a sign on the door stating no bills larger than $10), combined with the extremely rude and unprofessional way it was handled. Staff told me they’d just throw the pizza away anyway, and one employee said I needed to “learn to read English” because of the sign, despite me being perfectly capable of reading it and understanding the policy. That kind of attitude and disrespect was unnecessary and made the experience much worse.
Policies like this exist at some locations (often for safety/change reasons, from what I’ve seen), but the way customers are treated when they run into it matters. I simply wanted to pick up my paid-for order with cash I had on hand, and instead left without it due to inflexibility and poor service. No need to reach out privately, I’m just sharing this publicly so others know what to expect at this location.
Thanks again.

If you want to pay top dollar for a pizza Old Town pizzeria is worth the price. My pizza arrived with barely any toppings. Just a pepperoni and green pepper pizza, hardly no green peppers were on this pizza. The only thing I enjoyed was there chocolate lava cakes that’s why two stars are given from me.

The worst service out of all restaurant’s in Plant City, they always have attitude for no reason. Really bad manners. Last time I went the big girl that works there sliced my pizza into 20 square, triangle, u name it pieces for some reason no joke. I realized it after I got home and it was very very strange because I had no argument with her what so ever. But every time I go they always have attitude problems very poorly managed business probably no supervision at all. Save your time and money go to a different location.

I thought the toppings were evenly placed. I ordered online, it was ready when I arrived and it was freshly hot.

During our visit, a Domino’s employee told my husband, “If you learned to read English, you would see we don’t take $50 bills.”

This comment was inappropriate, disrespectful, and offensive. Regardless of store policy, there is no justification for speaking to a customer this way. This reflects poorly on the brand, and I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses staff training and professionalism.

Generally I would give this store 4-5 stars, I usually order on app 1-2 times a week from this store, I get here to pay with cash, I only had a $50 on me and the lead/manager refused to take payment. if he would have only said we don’t have change for that, it would be ok but the lead/manager also tells me that they don’t accept $50s or $100s. The $100s I can understand but a $50, it’s legal tender. Just to add to this and clarify, he did at first day they didn’t have change, so I offered to buy more food to raise the amount due, then he said he wouldn’t take the $50, even if I had added more food on. The young man that came to take the payment was awesome, my issue was with the lead/manager that was working. Very disappointing. I’ll probably order less from here because of the lead/manager. Bad for business indeed.

I was surprised the place was very clean, very clean smell. Price was good. Got home looked at the pizza and was upset that it was too crunchy, the pepperoni tasted like metal. And way greasing then normal. One box from the grease as shown below. Very displeased with my service

Great pizza from this location. I don’t see order errors from them, they seem to get it right. Pizza is hot and ready even through delivery, pan pizza and parm crust from them are always delicious. Team is always nice when we pickup. Thank you!

The girl that works there with reddish brown hair that puts pizza inside the box and cuts it kept touching her hair without washing her hands around the pizza I was literally in front of dominos park watching on 11/12/25 after 7:40 pm

We usually get pizza from other carry out chains but they never get the order correct. We decided to try Dominos and the Plant City location has exceeded our expectations! Twice we’ve ordered pizza from here. Twice the pizza was made the way we ordered it. Twice it tasted fresh & delicious. Twice the employees were welcoming and polite when picking up the pizza. This is now our favorite pizza place!
