Food is awesome, friendly staff, clean atmosphere. Ordered Brisket Mac and Cheese, Cheese balls and Roasted Garlic Potatoes. Roasted garlic potatoes are to die for, well worth the drive from ANYWHERE. Cheese balls were loaded with cheese and come with a home made ranch that is off the chain. Brisket Mac and cheese was really good, but could have used more brisket than mac and cheese. Total bill, with tip, came to $33. This is a new establishment, hopefully the food quality will remain. Giving 4 stars because there was a very cold draft blowing by where I was sitting and $33 was a little steep for the amount of brisket I received. Overall all, great food and will be back to try more items, looking forward to seeing dessert items added to the menu.

This was our first time to eat at Davey’s. We were given a gift certificate from friends, so we were excited to try this place out.
The food was outstanding – my husband had a brisket sandwich and I had a Philly brisket sandwich. Both sandwiches were amazing – tender and full of flavor. Our two sides were great – coleslaw was awesome and the cornbread casserole could be a meal in it own.
We will be back. Oh, great service, too!

This place is so consistently good. I live in KC, have lived in North Carolina, and spent a lot of time in Texas for work so have tried some pretty good BBQ. I try to make this a priority every time my wife and I are in town seeing my folks. I’ve had brisket, pork, prime rib, and those unbelievably good stuffed jalapenos.

Wonderful food, service and atmosphere. Enjoyed family get together with 10 people. We shared appetizers, every person ordered something different. Food arrived with perfect timing, drinks filled often. Staff very accommodating, owners came to make sure everything was going well. Very pleasant experience, well worth the hour drive.

By far, Davey’s Bar and Grill is the best place to get authentic barbecue. If you love all things grilled or smoked, Davey is the master of all things meat! Order ANYTHING on the menu, and I promise you will not be disappointed. The service is top-notch and super friendly. They also have a great selection of adult beverages. The atmosphere is authentically amazing. If you’re in the Ida Grove area, you simply have to eat at Davey’s Bar and Grill!

From Texas and very picky about our BBQ and TexMex. Daveys was spot on!! Meat was perfect and the sides we had were delish! Everything was really good!! Portions were HUGE! You get a lot of food for the price. Those that said it was expensive , the prices are not near the prices back home and the portions are much bigger and the quality of food is really good. Our waitress was super sweet and accommodating too.

A classy downtown bbq joint owned by a local husband and wife team. Both are visible in the kitchen working away at some of the best BBQ my family and I have ever enjoyed. Their poppers are outstanding and, while more than what you’re used to paying for a poppers, they are so much more than any other Jalapeno popper you’ve ever had: large mild pepper fresh from a garden, not frozen, brisket, bacon, cream cheese… a popper extreme and get them while you can because they go fast. Son loved his brisket… I had a smash mouth burger with bacon and eggs and veggies… awesome. Lunch service was very good and the decor/seating comfortable and nostalgic small town good stuff. The bar is amazing… done with local craftmanship. We’ll be back! Close to the local movie theater for a meal or drink before or after a show!

Ordered the chicken sandwich and bone in wings to go. Food was very good and was still hot when i got home after making a few stops. The mac and cheese had a little spice to it but was by no means overwhelming.I liked the atmosphere when I walked in and was greeted by all staff (including kitchen).

Food was delicious! I highly recommend. I haven’t tried everything yet, but my favorites so far are: smash burger salad, pulled pork nachos, beer batter onion rings, egg rolls, poppers. The meat is grilled daily and is always fresh.

The wife loved the Brisket Mac & cheese, and the Pull Pork Nacho were awesome. Our onion ring appetizer was messy but delicious like everything else. Very friendly staff and nice interior.
