Consistently the best Chinese take out in the area! We hit Jacky Chen’s at least a couple times a month and they always serve fresh piping hot food that is delicious. I had to drop a review because these one stars are fake.

What happened, Jackie Chan?? We have been customers since you opened your old location. Frozen re heated food, vegetable lo Mein is noodles with soy sauce and a total of 5 pieces of vegetables all salty as hell, egg rolls ( used to be my favorite)disgusting. Guess I won’t be back. These high prices for this crappy food? I will get me a frozen dinner from Walmart and be better of. So disappointed!!!

Thought I liked their food but the general tso was mushy (too bready maybe?) and not cooked well. The taste itself was good and lomein was good. But overall, very disappointing because of the way it was cooked… Then, I witnessed the man cooking some beef or steak of some sort by scooping it with a scooper and then placing the scopper (covered in raw juices and meat) on top of PRECOOKED fried chicken wings. This is very unsanitary and cross contamination and the chicken is not made to order. Won’t be returning as of now.

Update: My sister was with me buying food to for her family. She ordered General Tsaos combo, orange chicken and chicken lo mein. There was no orange chicken….
My usual Chinese spot is on vacation so I decided to go to Jacky Chen. I remember them being amazing at their old location. Once they moved I tried them and it was bad. I decided to give them another chance today. The fried rice and egg rolls that come with the combo orders had large pieces of pork fat. My order was almost $80 for my family. I ordered 3 orders of Crab Rangoon. These things were hard as a rock, it was hard to but it. It’s like they fried them the day before or in the morning and was just refrying them for people’s orders. There was less than a table spoon of filling and got many that were not filled. Manager says their oil must be old. I don’t believe that.He said next time I come in I’ll get a free Rangoon. I live more than 20 minutes away after having a horrible meal I was not driving back out. I’m never come back here. All of all the Chinese places I’ve been to in my life and places I’ve lived this was the worse one I’ve ever been to.

Quality Life
I work across the street from this place. It’s always my go to if I don’t bring my food to work. Very convenient to walk to I also love the staff for being friendly and interactive when they’re not busy. This place has been amazing with me. I definitely recommend a visit for this place if you haven’t done so!

I am a “chef” at heart and the suburbs of Virginia definitely fall short for foodies. However, Jacky Chen is one of the few restaurants where we get takeout when we need a break from the kitchen. We have tried the general tso’s chicken, the shrimp fried rice, shrimp and vegetables, and egg rolls. The food was piping hot, fresh, and delicious. Thank you, Chef!

I was ordering after a long day and I lost focus when I was trying to order. I had a language barrier issue and got frustrated with the owner during my order.
I went outside while my order was being made, and went back in. I had to have been out there 7 minutes during busy hours.
I found out that I forgot my wallet and bank card on the counter. The owner took the bank card and wallet and made sure it was safe.
I cried. I’ve lost at least three this year and it wasn’t even his responsibility. I tried to tip him for his kindness and he refused. Claimed that he makes sure his restaurant is run with integrity.
The food is delicious.. The owner is a Saint.

This was the most disgusting Chinese food I have ate. The chicken was slimy. The vegetable fried rice tasted spoiled and the pancit noodles was dry and stuck together and the beef was not beef maybe some type of wild animal!!!!

The food is unpredictable, and doesn’t seem as good as in the past. I have had decent orange chicken, but the bourbon chicken does not resemble bourbon chicken at all. It was like larger chunks of the red rimmed pork you get in pork fried rice. Overall, the food is edible but a bit disappointing.
