Came in for dinner on a Saturday night. The restaurant was pretty full but had a good energy. The restaurant is small but comfortable and the staff is very friendly. Food was excellent with a good variety of creative dishes. Good cocktails and wine selection as well. Overall a great meal here. I would highly recommend having a reservation before going on a weekend.

Came in here on a Saturday and sat at the bar with my husband. Michael the bartender was friendly and accommodating. We were enjoying our wine and our delicious Brussels Sprouts appetizer with beet hummus (amazing!) and just taking in the cozy atmosphere when he apologized for our food being delayed, and it turned out it had been sent to another table on accident. We were totally fine with waiting, and had barely thought about the wait, (quality takes time after all), and he offered to pour us another glass each of the amazing Cotes du Rhone we were drinking, and ended up giving us the rest of the bottle. I wish we lived closer, it was obvious that there were neighbor regulars eating as well as friends and extended families on this holiday weekend. We would be here at least once a week! The food was outstanding, cooked perfectly and the atmosphere on the first cold night of the year felt cozy and welcoming. We will definitely be back to see what seasonal changes come up on the menu, and loved sitting at the bar!

Got the salmon toast and the branzino. Both were fabulous. Amazing neighborhood atmosphere & great smells. I loved the touch of the unique plates! I will definitely be back.

Sachel’s offers a truly special dining experience every single time. The menu changes frequently, ensuring fresh creativity, but you absolutely cannot go wrong with anything you order—every bite is a mouthwatering symphony of flavors and textures that you simply have to experience for yourself.
The restaurant also boasts an extensive wine menu, perfect for pairing with your meal.
The atmosphere has a lively, New York City kind of feel, as the dining room is intimate and tables are placed closer together. This closeness creates a wonderful communal feel, and you’ll often see regulars enjoying their meal right at the bar. A reservation is an absolute must.

Overall good food. We got the steak and morel pasta and both were amazing but a pretty high price point for the portion. Appetizers not worth it. Service was decent but the restaurant was pretty crowded and busy.

Fun environment and very nice service but food was hit or miss. Pasta and dumplings were solid. Salad was fair and salmon was way overcooked and quite tough.

Wanted to love this place. Great atmosphere with records playing but the food was underwhelming for the prices. It took forever for food to come out. Pavlova was dry. Pork was such a small portion.

My top favorite restaurant in all of Denver, Satchels is a very special place and a true Gem. The music on vinyl is amazing, food is delicious and the home like feeling in the atmosphere is unmatched you will not be disappointed. Make sure to order some appetizers before the entree! The menu is always rotating throughout the seasons; my current favorite is the Burrata and their staple Duck Fat Fries!
Steak sandwich is incredible as well as the seared scallops and the Pork chop is cooked to perfection you can’t go wrong!
Currently not drinking but their cocktail menu is top notch. I recommend a Manhattan or Old fashy!
Thank you Satchel family for always providing a true mom and pop feeling every time and for making this a go to place I can share the experience with friends and family!
Pro Tip: Snag a seat at the bar! Best spot in the house !

Went for NYE celebration with my gf for a 6:30pm reservation. It was fairly busy, but there were a few empty tables. Parking was easy to find around the corner. We had table seating and we were *extremely* cozy with the tables on either side of us.
Our biggest gripe was the service was very lacking. Every interval of the service felt like we had at least 15 minutes of waiting. The couples at the tables beside us were visibly getting impatient as well. Maybe this is an anomaly since it was a holiday, but that wasn’t the vibe I got. Also, our interactions with the server were limited – it would have been nice to have gotten some kind of overview of the menu and its offerings.
The food was mostly great. For apps, we had the mini lamb rib chop ($15) and the mushroom fegola ($11). It would have been nice to have gotten a bit more than a small piece of lamb, but I understand it’s expensive generally. For mains, I had the 8oz flat iron steak ($37) and my gf had the pan seared salmon ($34). I was pleased with the steak, while my gf felt the salmon was a bit plain and didn’t live up to the expensive price tag. For dessert, we split the tiramisu ($11), which also happens to be my favorite. It was quite a large piece and we found it tasty.
Overall, I was slightly disappointed in the experience. Satchel’s didn’t “wow” me, and if I had a choice of trying somewhere new and returning, I’d choose the former.
