Vegetarian options AND gluten-free noodles (kale) available. Everything was delicious.

Menu has some errors though, I ordered a sake where it said 330ml and out came an even tinier bottle of 50ml… It’s also very cold inside, we ended up sitting on the patio.

A ramen shop that serves several delicious broths and noodles… yes please!

This was a nice surprise for a strip mall restaurant. We enjoyed the tonkotsu, rich garlic, Kim chee, classic and combination ramen. The staff were accommodating for a group of 6, even when it was pretty busy.

Plan to return again soon.

Got the Tanaka Classic, I was amazing! The broth was good. The noodles were good, mushrooms, pork, and it was great! Definitely recommend.

No Gluten Free noodles, so I couldn’t eat here unfortunately. Another review says that the Kale noodles are gluten free, but they are not. They are regular wheat noodles with added kale juice, according to the wait staff. I’m sure this place is great, food looks good, but no gluten free. The menu has no mention of anything being gluten free either, avoid if you have an allergy.

My husband first introduced me to Tanaka Ramen and now it has become one of my favorites. Our go to are:
Takoyaki-octopus Ball (always served fresh and hot)
Tanaka Garlic Volcano (I was worried it would be too spicy but it’s perfect amount of spicy)
Beef Sukiyaki Tonkotsu (love the broth)
Tanaka Classic (always classic)

If you’re looking for the best ramen in town, look no further than Tanaka Ramen! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm, inviting atmosphere and the comforting aroma of simmering broth.
The ramen here is absolutely phenomenal. The broth is rich, flavorful, and perfectly balanced-not too salty, but packed with umami. The noodles have just the right amount of chew, and the toppings are fresh and generously portioned. I had Tanaka Classic , and it was hands down one of the best bowls l’ve ever had.
The chashu pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the soft-boiled egg was perfectly cooked with a creamy, golden yolk.

4/5 stars. Arrived around 5pm on a Sunday for dinner. When we walked in, it smelled really good but all inside tables were full, so we sat outside. They have three tables outside for two guests each. Unfortunately, the service outside was poor. We felt forgotten, but felt maybe the new restaurant was still working out some staff/service kinks. Our waiter was kind, but not attentive. Forgot our second beer order which we just cancelled when we asked for the check. I don’t recommend sitting outside for this reason as we felt maybe he paid more attention to the guests inside. He did look overworked and a little stressed though.

However, the food was delicious! We really enjoyed our ramen. I loved that they had the option to build your own ramen bowl! I enjoyed picking my broth, thick vs. thin noodles, spice level, and my toppings. The miso broth and noodle-to-broth ratio were excellent. My husband enjoyed his choice of a spicier Tori broth. Noodles were chewy and a perfect texture. We noticed around 6pm the place got very busy with several parties waiting outside. I wouldn’t go during peak hours because of the slow service, but would definitely go back for their ramen!

Plenty of free parking in the Foodland parking lot and I appreciated that they had vegan and vegetarian options for those that eat that style.

Overall, I recommend checking out this new ramen spot.

A nice addition to the Windward side! The kitchen was busy on a holiday weekday lunch. The working language of the restaurant was Mandarin. The char siu was tender…
