I order a medium oxtail platter it was $24 Rip off it was really a small platter. A lot of rice and 6 small ssa oxtails no bigger the a finger ring. Smh packed with rice little meat. 24$ for rice. I feel validated…Going to golden crust for now on.

Contrary to other reviews, the service we received was friendly and helpful. As for the food, it was tasty. Now everyone doesn’t have the same palate so I understood where some folks felt like the food lacked flavor. I don’t think it lacked flavor, I feel it just didn’t give that spice kick that ppl may have wanted. However, you can’t please everyone and restaurants have to abide by certain guidelines and consider patrons health. So on that note I would recommend this place to others and continue to patronize. Btw, their prices are equivalent to other places I have been. So not extreme, just competitive!

Prices was a lie compared to what it said online from there. Made me buy a whole loaf of coco bread when on the menu there is beef patty with coco bread. Doesn’t matter if the food is good doesn’t account for the lies of this place and its pricing. 3 seperate searches had 3 seperate prices I will never go here again

The cashier was very nice she get 5⭐. The food could use more flavor, I didn’t taste enough coconut milk in my rice and peas. Overall a nice experience the platters weren’t too expensive either.

It’s mainly a takeout place. It has a small counter like dine in area but only has four seats.

It has the best jerk chicken in town and that’s all I ever had here. It also serves curry dish, snapper, and goat and oxtails for the adventurous ones.

An order comes with rice and bean, cabbages, and plantain.

It also has patties but those run out fast.

Man!!! I’m from Texas and was working at the hospital nearby. The food was amazing, the brown stewed chicken was cooked to perfection. I substituted the rice and peas for Mac and Cheese, the gravy on top of the Mac… IMMACULATE!!!!! I’m saving this place in my archives!!! Salute #texaslove

I’m writing as a long time customer so I’m speaking from history. When the original woman owner was alive you could taste the love in the food. The portions matched the cost. I visited yesterday as I was in the area and wanted to support. The large brown stew is 16.00 and when I tell you that you could see the bottom of the white container despite rice and chicken and veggies was already plated, it was truly disappointing. And the common myth that if the server is rude the food will be good. Not this time the service is rude ( the young lady) and the food has lost its appeal. It’s a shame because I wanted to continue to support but will have to go to other places. ( I understand
With Inflation supply decreases but to increase prices and give way less without the same delicious flavor is just something I can’t justify paying for anymore) patronize at your own will I wont.

Cool Runnin’s has been in New Brunswick for quite a long time. This restaurant has a great menu of Jamaican food and even sells cocoa bread. the curry goat is one of the dishes I really enjoy. It is not super spicy. The jerk chicken here is always on point and it tends to be a tad spicy. Although, I love spicy food so it doesn’t bother me. The peas and rice are super flavorful and the Jamaican patties are great for breakfast or dinner. This place is truly a hole in the wall so don’t expect modern comforts. You just order your food and go. All of the stars are really for the food and service, not necessarily the atmosphere as it is a tiny little restaurant. Given the size there is no accessible bathroom facilities. Parking is available on the street with a few spots for disability parking. If you want faster service call ahead.
