Food was great. It was incredibly busy on Valentine’s Day. The nice lady running the register was super kind even as insanely busy as it was. She was easily the nicest, friendliest Portillo’s employee I’ve ever encountered. My food came out quick. Easily one of the best Portillo’s trips I’ve made.

I listened to people talk this place up like it’s the best restaurant in the area. The menu is a little more than hot dogs and hamburgers. In my opinion it is WAY TOO $$$ for the type of food they offer. I also hear how good the chocolate cake is. I tried it…very dry. I’ve tried it a couple of times because maybe I visited on a bad night and I’m all for second chances. Nope!!! Not darkening that door way again but that doesn’t matter because they have lines like chick fil a lol.

Shaboingboing. Ahh where do i start, The hotdogs here are delicious and trust me ive had a bunch of wieners. The Franks are absolutely emasculate.This one worker there (Hectorsaurus) makes them so tender and juicy. Everyone needs a wiener from here. Please try the shaboingboings.

I recently stopped by Portillo’s for dinner after having spinal surgery, which meant I had to Uber there. Before my visit, I called ahead to confirm that they received my order, and I was pleasantly surprised by how polite and accommodating the staff was.
I ordered the fries, a fish sandwich, and some eclairs. Everything was made to order and incredibly fresh. The staff was not only friendly but made my pickup experience super fast, easy, and hassle-free. I’m grateful for their excellent service and delicious food. I highly recommend this location!

I saw an employee Walk out of the restroom without washing his hands, I did see 1 that did and with soap but the other one didn’t and that is disgusting. The food was great I had a normal hotdog without the hot pepper and tasted just like it should. A little noisy but thats expected for a portillos. It was however less busy then I expected it to be. The tables were clean but the drink dispenser had a lot of spilt ice around it. The bathroom smelled bad but I don’t know if that was the air freshener or just the chemicals they us to clean the bathrooms.

Update: Didn’t like how a person at register didn’t understand my mother like she wasn’t speaking English correctly, but the dipped Italian beef was actually pretty good, and I have no complaints about food quality just be mindful of how you talk to customers because it took everything in my power not to say anything.
It’s always a good go-to spot for Italian beef, and they have great food, so if you want a feel of Chicago food, then give them a try because they have numerous locations available.

Sunday night 7 PM… At least a dozen cars in front of me…
I haven’t been here maybe 15 years?!?!
I wanted some chili dogs and Italian beef… 2 dogs 1 beef $20…
Got home about 30 minutes later As I went through the drive through… The chilly dog I have to tear apart with my teeth because the skin on the hot dog is so tough… Doctor’s hot dogs were steamed but this is so gross like chewy cracking apart the chili dog I’m not even gonna eat the second one and I’ll never be back here again not even for the Italian beef which was delicious… Good luck portillos don’t respond to my review pls, I don’t need your apologies or refunds thank you… If you’re cooking hot dogs in the microwave please stop… That’s what this reminds me of, period.

Hot dogs are differnt taste is cheap, with thick skin thats a choking Hazzard. Burger quality gone. Even the bun has changed. Thin burger now. My husband complaining the beef is all fat now. Scant portion of beef for the exuberant pricing.
I grew up near the original villa park location . This is definitely not the Portillos I remember Dick Portillo would not be proud how the new ownership has screwed up one of the best fast food establishments that is home to Illinois . Wonder why the new and un-improved Portillos is running commercials on TV and social media when Dick Portillo never needed to run one and or a coupon to get a customer in the door. All good things come to an end eventually. Will not patronize any location again.
