Very nice place with very friendly and helpful staff.
We had chicken ramen and 2 portions of vegetable and chicken gyoza. Everything was extremely tasty and good value for money! If you come before 3pm, you have the option to choose 1 ramen and 1 gyoza for £15.
I highly recommend it!

Had an early dinner of gyoza, sushi and miso ramen. All of the food was delicious! The kimchi was excellent.
The staff were super friendly and accommodating of our desire to have a slow meal.
80s music created a calm, reminiscent atmosphere. ☺️

Absolutely delicious food which arrived quickly. We particularly enjoyed the steak Ramen, Katsu chicken, Spicy chicken teriyaki and (the star of the show) Takoyaki. Paring this with an amazing Sauvignon from New Zealand, it made a wonderful combo. We had some other sides but these definitely need a highlight; there’s a free Wi-fi, and an ability to collect points for rewards if you sign up.
First time here and we’ll definitely come back.

“Loved eating here! The ramen was rich and tasty, with perfectly cooked noodles, and the sushi was fresh and delicious. Staff were super nice and the atmosphere felt casual but lively. Great place for a cozy dinner that’s not too pricey.”

Rich and flavorful ramen! First time I’ve been there I had the seafood hell ramen, it was delicious but suuuuper spicy, even the Mexicans on the table were struggling haha; but I felt in love with the lychee mocktail. Second time we had many delicious sushis as starters, my favorite one being the scallops one, and I ordered the black garlic ramen which was perfect!! The staff is friendly but I guess a bit overworked as the place is always so full.

Mine and my partners absolute favourite place for food. We have been to every one in Edinburgh and Glasgow and love it.

Veg Gyozas – can’t be beaten , best ones I have tried

Pumpkin katsu curry – best katsu ever and perfect this time of year

Little moons – speak for themselves. Love them

Great selection of Mocktails , cocktails and drinks . Aswel as vegan options.
£15 lunch menu is excellent value

I was craving ramen for dinner while in Edinburgh, which probably had something to do with the cold weather. Our choices near the hotel were between Wagamama and Maki & Ramen. We chose the latter due to the fact that I’d never heard of this UK chain of Japanese restaurants. I also found the menu to be unique with the dietary-friendly halal, vegetarian, and GF offerings. Not many Japanese restaurants have that.

We were welcomed in with the sound of a taiko drum. They tap the drum when entering and before being seated. I found it odd at first, but now I understand after reading about this traditional welcome. The restaurant was filling up fast. We thankfully were seated in a 2 seater booth by the window. It was completely full by the time we left.

All the ramen choices looked fantastic. I’ve never seen such a huge variety of unique flavors. I was drawn to the Shio Yuzu and Shio Truffle. It was a tough decision, but the truffle won that battle. It ended up being a great choice. The truffle really brings out the flavor of the rice in the noodles. Although, these noodles were already pretty special. I think they make them here. There was a good amount of chicken, and that ramen egg was absolutely delicious. A perfectly made custardy yolk. I should have ordered an additional one. My husband’s Spicy Chicken Teriyaki with rice was good, but not great. His words, not mine. I didn’t try it because I’m not a fan of teriyaki sauce. The chicken gyoza were also pretty good. I was also super happy with the Yuzu Ice Tea from the Mocktail menu. It was very mojito-esque without the rum. A refreshing drink.

The service was good. The atmosphere is very lively. I didn’t really get a chance to take pictures inside. The décor is lovely, but more enjoyable when it’s less crowded. I’d revisit it again if ever in this region. I may have to try their Black Garlic Tonkotsu ramen next time.

Excellent sushi, some of the best I had in Scotland.

Smallish sized place with some nice window seats. Staff was attentive and friendly. They kept the water coming too, a bonus on a hot day.

Rolls were on the large side too, so quite filling. Well worth the stop.

Horrible experience here, what kind of japanese restaurant that do not have tea. Also beer arrive luke warm, order chicken ramen and was soggy and taste horrible. Tempura batter was thick and so oily. The place we sat at was dusty and sticky. Unacceptable for a restaurant standard. No one came and check on the food, horrible service and have to pay for the service charge. Better go visit other Japanese restaurant. Waste of money.
