We had a wonderful experience at Peck’s Old Port Cove, great location, wonderful food, and good service. Pecks was highly recommend by close friends. The location is great, quite a drive through rural roads, but well worth it. The location is on the water, it was too cold for us to sit outside but very nice inside too. The food was good as were the drinks. It’s definitely worth stopping by (make reservations). I highly recommend.

My wife and I visited here on Monday, January 19, 2026 while on a four night camping trip to nearby Homosassa Springs. We’d first visited here about 10 years ago on a visit to the same area, when we’d discovered it by accident on a scenic drive out to the end of Ozello Road (which is gorgeous). On this latest visit, we started our drive out the 8 mile road around 4:30 pm, hoping to catch a nice sunset and watch the incredible array of colors produced along the salt marsh during the hour period before dusk. We were concerned that it might be closed due to storm damage from Hurricane Helen, which flooded and raked this area in September 2024, but pleasantly surprised to find it up and operating, with remaining visible damage. They did and awesome job cleaning and fixing it back up. We really like this restaurant because of its Old Florida Charm inside and outside, and its friendly staff. The fresh seafood is also delicious, and the inside bar is very cozy. If you are visiting the Crystal River or Homosassa Springs area, put this on your “must see and eat there list” and drive out there about an hour before the sunset so you can catch the incredible light show you will experience on a clear day.

Our dinner here was AMAZING!!! Wait staff was training a new employee when we came in, but they were still very attentive and super nice. We ordered gator bites and cheese bread as apps. The gator bites were seasoned really nicely and super tasty and well cooked. The cheese bread was fresh and hit a pizza craving we’d been having. My husband got the 8oz fillet and he said it was the best steak he’d ever had. I tried it and it was phenomenal. I had blackened grouper with mango chutney and it was SUPER good. The seasoning on the fish balanced really well with the sweetness of the mango. My baked potato and slaw was also really good. I would highly recommend this restaurant. We truly enjoyed our dining experience.

Stopped there on a weekend trip and will definitely be returning next time I’m in the area! the gator was amazing and we got a free appetizer of onion strings that was delicious! My mom highly recommends the grits to anyone stopping by!

9 miles from SR-19, on a winding scene two lane road, you will run into Pecks. Great water views of the river, and a quaint old building. Steep in history, the story is told of a gal who used to offer beers and cooks for servicemen who would land planes on a strip nearby.
Great outdoor space, wait staff extremely friendly and helpful. We had fried oysters and spicy peel-n-eat shrimp. Both were very good.

This place has a great reputation. Unfortunately for us, our food didn’t meet those expectations. It was OK, but there was nothing better than just OK. Crab cakes were more breading than crab and the shrimp and grits were served in a weirdly small bowl? I mean, the key lime pie was served in a bowl as well and that bowl was larger than the entree shrimp and grits? It was less than we expected.

I had a wonderful birthday lunch here! The fresh caught and blackened grouper bites were incredible! Skip the stuffed mushrooms and go straight for the fresh fish! The prices were incredible. Our server, I forget her name, brought out a key like pie since it was my birthday- we didn’t expect that at all!

One of the top restaurants in all of Citrus County. The food is always excellent, and the atmosphere and ambiance is incredible. Our service was top notch making it a perfect evening after a sunset paddle around Ozello.

Worth the trip. 5 Star service, not form just one but the entire crew. My shrimp were a bit over cooked. And portions a tad small. Dining outside looks so inviting. Very relaxed atmosphere. Endless tea. Will go back.

A little bit of a drive down a winding 2 Lane road off US98. This is a great place to get some seafood in a more authentic local place. Usually I’d sit on the deck but the wind was howling this time. The staff are kind and helpful
