Decided to try this place for lunch. The staff was very friendly. They welcomed us as soon as we walked in the door. The food came out very fast we didn’t have to wait long. The brisket, pork and sausage were nice and tender and juicy but I feel the sausage and brisket lacked in the smoke flavor for my liking. The pulled pork had just the right amount of smoke. They Cole slaw was just ok. It didn’t have a ton of flavor. The only complaint I had was our food wasn’t hot when it came out. It was Luke warm. My wife got the rice bowl and it wasn’t very hot either.

If you are looking for a no frills bbq joint that serves up amazing food and a smokey flavor you can enjoy that isn’t overwhelming, this place is for you. All the food was served hot and the meats were juicy and filled with a wonderful smoky flavor and aroma. The restaurant offers multiple types of bbq sauces and daily specials! The restaurant overall was very clean as well as the bathrooms. We can’t wait to return here in the near future!!! Definitely a must eat in Manhattan hands down.

Really enjoyable lunch. The ordering process was quick and the huge menu on the wall makes it easy. The place smells great when you walk in, always a good sign with BBQ! The food came out surprisingly quick but didn’t look or taste “pre-made”, it was hot but not dried out. Clean place, nice folks.

Definitely the best barbecue in town. Their Texas sausage is amazing and their Carolina sauce is to die for. I could drink the stuff is that good. It is a little pricey but worth every penny in taste.

It was a Friday evening at 5:50 pm and I decided to try the Wagyu Burger since I usually get ribs or brisket, which Cox does a good job with. The burger arrived about 2 minutes after I sat at my table, which was a bit suspicious. The burger obviously had been made some time before, as the patty was lukewarm at best and the slice of cheddar cheese on it was congealed. Very disappointing. The I-70 fries were fresh and hot, which the burger should have been.

My fiance and I decided to try Cox Bros tonight since neither of us had ever had it! We got the 3 meat platter with 2 sides, and ordered 2 extra sides. We were EXTREMELY disappointed in the meat. We got brisket, pulled pork, and burnt ends, all of which were extremely dry; to the point that we didn’t even finish the burnt ends, and I had to wash the pulled pork down with my drink. It was like the meat was a day or two old, and warmed up in a microwave and got crispy and dry. Also, the portion sizes were really disappointing for $30. We got probably 2 strips of brisket, which were all cut in half length wise making each piece about 3 inches long. Making it possibly seem there was more? The amount of burnt ends and pulled pork could basically be gone in 3 bites each. The sides of mashed potatoes, BBQ beans, and Mac n cheese were pretty good, the fries, ehh. The place was clean and the staff was friendly, however, we felt we wasted $30 and a night out for dinner. We will not be back.

Ordered 6 wings…I’ve had them before. Tonight I got fresh fried wings…never smoked. $20 paid for a process that was not complete. Cheated me out of my money and the people who decided to deceive me like I wouldn’t know the difference?! This was obviously done on purpose as i sat at the window for 15+ minutes as you fried up raw wings. Great management and training…that’s my last visit.

No soap in men’s bathroom!! and dirty. Does the kitchen have soap too? 2 dollars extra for dry brisket. Burnt ends were mediocre. Mac and were good fries. Small portions for almost a hundred bucks for 4 people and mediocre food.

We went through the drive thru and ordered a couple of weeks ago. Our order was prepared fast and it was really good! Alot to choose from. Went back again a couple of nights ago but didn’t make it before they close which is 8 p.m. but will be back. Definitely recommend!
