Dedra told us they were overbooked and we walked out with sad faces. As we got in the car to go somewhere else, she came out and said they had two cancels for the wait list!!!! We came back in out of the rain and enjoyed a Philly cheesesteak and battered pollock. Fabulous place, down to earth.

My family used to love this place 30 years ago. We couldn’t get enough of it. So I decided to try it again since I was in town. It didn’t live up to memory. I got a BLT that was scrawny (how hard it is to make a good BLT?) and my daughter had a burger that wasn’t much to crow about. The only good things served at our table looked to be the wet burritos, but even those, I’m told, were only okay.

This is what you consider a greasy spoon. Same family has owned it forever, the food has remained consistently greasily delicious for the 30 years that I have been going there. Deidra is my favorite server. They make an excellent taco salad and nachos, also great fried food.
