We ordered Tybee crab chowder and again the server wanted the entree order. I asked if the entree will arrive after we are done with the chowder. He said he would make sure. Well we had our chowder for about two minutes and here came our entrees.
My husband ordered a shrimp po boy which was very good. The fried shrimp lightly breaded and tender.
I had the shrimp and grits. The shrimp were large and tender but the sauce was gummy and the grits were like a greasy cornbread cake. Not worth $27

We made a stop at the cotton exchange for an early lunch. We were seated promptly, and our server, Rachel, was excellent. We wanted to keep it somewhat light but try the food, so I had a bowl of clam chowder and a shrimp po’ boy. My other half had a cup of crab soup and a salad. The salad was nice, and all the lettuce was crisp, not soggy. The soups were amazing and full of flavor and left us wanting more. By the time I made it to the po’ boy, I was mostly full, so I managed to take a few bites. The shrimp was good, but I didn’t get to eat much of it. The service was really good and Rachel checked on us frequently to make sure everything was all good.
We hope to make it back to try more of their food when we are not in a rush or just walking store to store sampling.

I had the snapper with asparagus and roasted potatoes. The waitress was really good and honest about the food she thought was best.
Personally, the food was good, but not great. The Snapper was a little overcooked, but the Peruvian sauce they had saved the dish, imo. I could drink that stuff. The beer was great and local.
This would be a great place for a burger and fries with great beer, but maybe not the more refined dishes. We still enjoyed ourselves and would go back.

We enjoyed our time at this restaurant. Service was excellent. We had a 1 hour wait. There were some positives and negatives so far as food goes. The good: the crab chowder is very good and worth a stop. I’d go back for this item. The shrimp and grits was tasty, too. The cons: the sweet potato fries weren’t served with any sauce, which seemed a little lack luster. The hushpuppies were not seasoned, so they were bland and also kind of dense inside (not my preference). The shrimp and grits were super rich and I couldn’t finish them. It was just too much. This may seem like a lot of complaining, but just sharing my honest experience. I think overall this restaurant is worth a stop. I can see others having a totally different experience here.

We sat at the bar. Loved the rustic setting. Ordered a Bloody Mary and a Blue moon. Had the spinach dip appetizer. I had a grilled buffalo chicken wrap with side of potato salad. Spouse had the famous Reuben with onion rings. Everything g was spot on tasty. No complaints. Great bar service, exceptional food and historic atmosphere.

This is the spot. I’m here on the off cold chilly night, which makes this place even more cozy. I would get snowed in here if I could.
I had the French dip, and Tybee crab chowder. Absurdly delish. The hoagie rolls are insane.. and the meat and cheese are heavenly. The Cole slaw is awesome too! So fresh. The chowder – to die for. I’m sitting across from another couple too who said they only came here for a few beers and ended up eating one of the best meals of their lives (and they mentioned they own restaurants). Kim was my host and she was just awesome! Such a warm, good conversationalist. A huge advocate for the city and for this establishment.
Just Susan awesome experience! 10/10

Great service and food in historic Savannah. After touring the river walk area I need some good comfort food. The Cotton Exchange did not disappoint. The fried green tomatoes were delicious, hot and crunchy. The Reuben sandwich was a huge portion of corned beef stacked between yummy bread slices, cheese and sauerkraut. Server was great and very friendly, checked on me often. Highly recommended!

Yummy Yummy Yummy!!!!!
Eat here!!!! The food is WONDERFUL and the staff is FRIENDLY! I love the atmosphere too. We had a Turkey Club Sandwich, the turkey was fresh and the bacon was cooked to absolute perfection. We also had the Grouper Fingers and Crab Chowder, which were also delicious. Even the grilled cheese was out of this world. I will be recommending The Cotton Exchange to friends and family or anyone that comes to visit Georgia!!! Connie is an awesome friendly waitress who made us feel at home!
P.S. Peach Sangria is the

The appetizers hit the spot and this was one of the best shrimp and grits ive ever had, would absolutely come back.
Their fountain drinks do seem pretty pricey though, a sweet tea hit me for $4
