Intimate chef-owned restaurant focusing on high quality food with professional caring service in a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Everything we serve from our sourdough bread to desserts is made in house. The menu changes frequently to highlight the freshest ingredients and locally sourced products from Hunterdon, Mercer and Bucks counties. Our reasonably priced wine list compliments our cuisine and the Swan bartenders are legendary for their cocktail making skills. Anton’s has stood the test of time because of chef/owner Chris Connors commitment to maintaining the standards that have won numerous awards over the 30 year history of the restaurant.
Upscale Swan Hotel eatery features farm-fresh cuisine, plus a bar & patio in an old-fashioned space.

Dine here. Nice setting, but the main dining room in which we were seated is crowded and moderately noisy. It is a tight squeeze between tables; and especially in the winter with folks wearing heavy coats/large jackets, we had to be mindful of folks not knocking off our wine bottle or glasses filled with wine or water. A bit tricky all of that. The service was very good and attentive. I had the burger with half salad. The burger was cooked properly, moist, and well attired with the fixings requested. My wife had cod filet, a bone in the first bite. Good it was not me, I would have stopped eating immediately. Other than that, the fish was well prepared. The wine selection is small, luckily, with a good selection of varietals, blends and price points. The selections pair well with the menu choices. We will return.

Awesome experience! I ordered a Vesper and it tasted like in fancy cocktail bars in London. The menu was traditional, I had the pork chop as main and pheasant pate as appetizer. Amazing bread too. Pricing was mid-range, you can count around 30$ for mains 15$ for appetizers. With drinks we were at 100$ a head… for this level it is reasonable. The main bar area is just an awesome place to be. No standing allowed, if you don’t have a seat, no service – make sure to reserve.

Ate in the bar, dropping in right at opening 3 on a Saturday since we didn’t want to wait. Hanger steak with scalloped potatoes, veggies , several drinks, a dessert and a salad. We thought the food was delicious, extremely well executed (properly cooked the temperature, the flavor, the texture and the veggies hot al dente), served hot, and a excellent value overall especially when compared to other restaurants at the same price point.
One improvement: I do wish you had regular wine glasses instead of the old-fashioned small ones which take away from the wine flavor and experience.
Atmosphere excellent, very clean, charming, welcoming bartender, and service.
It’s a small place, so be patient unless you have a reservation or walk in at opening

I ate in the pub. The burgers are delicious. But, they don’t give you enough food. Who wants potato salad? They should offer fries or some bread for the table. Last time I was still hungry, and overpaid for mediocre carrot cake. But those burgers are tasty!

What can I say except that we wish we were welcomed here but the experience was distasteful and unbelievably unprofessional for a restaurant with such high reviews.
Spent a birthday evening here, well, we tried to. Sat at 7:10pm on a Friday. Place was busy. Hostess was kind and friendly. Poured us some water. And then…that was it. An extremely flustered waiter ran by us several times, not even touching the table to say they would be with us. Hostess tried to calm the waiter down one time when he was speeding by to drop a check on an adjacent table. It took forty minutes, and I am not in the least exaggerating before he came back to us by way of us finally having enough and flagging him down as he rushed by as though there was a fire to put out in the kitchen, and so we said we would like to order drinks at least. He stopped and got out his pad and we requested that we also put in food since by this time it was almost 8pm and he replied curtly and without hesitation, “I don’t have time for that!” And ran off.
Not only did we waste an incredible amount of time here just to leave hungry and without even a drink, but when I called to complain to the manager, hoping someone had the good sense to explain this waiter’s behavior, I was met with excuses that they had only two servers and 14 tables between them. Needless to say, consider this review. I booked a table here due to all the positive responses but unless we were the exception, it might happen to your table, as well.

It is rare in these times of corporate restaurants to find a gem still run by an individual chef/owner. Anton’s at The Swan is just such a gem. Chef Chris Connors takes great pride and care in his delicious food. From appetizers to house made desserts, each course was a delight. The dining room filled with paintings by local artists is warm and inviting.

This is a beautiful space with a cozy atmosphere. Our host and servers were great. We were a party of 15. There was someone always checking in on everyone. My wife and I ordered steak and unfortunately it was not cooked evenly but it had good flavor. Everyone had a great time and it was a good place to celebrate. Would give it another try if in the area.

Just went here with my kids again and realized it’s probably the finest, most consistently great dining experience I’ve been having in all my years. (I’ve been going since about 2012.) The menu is short and sweet, everything is good or the chef/owner wouldn’t have it on there. It’s that kind of assuredly good experience that is just worth it. Always. Steaks are perfect, swordfish bucatini made me learn to appreciate swordfish for the first time. Soups and salads are great. And this last time I turned the crabcake appetizer into an entrée. Very nice.
The staff is professional, the atmosphere is, warm, cozy and beautiful. Not like anything you’ll find elsewhere.
Eat at the bar or in the main restaurant. Can’t recommend a place in any city more than Anton’s in Lambertville.

Been coming here for years and they do not disappoint each and every time. The service is on point and the food is yummy especially my favorites, the Pheasant pâté and the sour dough great is heavenly. A bit out of the way but that’s what makes it better. Way worth the trip for your eyes and taste buds!

Referred by the sister restaurant, Hamilton’s Grill Room, due to no table there. The staffs are absolutely friendly. Their entrees would not be the reason I would come again. We ordered the steak but it was too chewy, the pork was hard to eat and the fishes had no taste. Otherwise, you might find this place nice to visit. Btw, the bill wasn’t itemized.
