Best lobster roll ever. I was really surprised by the quality. We had two cold with mayo and two warm with butter. Excellent! The buns were toasted and warm, lobster meat super fresh. Even the coleslaw was delicious Will definitely come back.

I put in our order and waited as tons of people came in. Owner kept checking in on us and we eventually got our order.
It was SOO good and he even took care of some of the bill due to the wait. He definitely cares about peoples experience here and the blueberry pie dessert is a must!

Delicious lobster rolls – very fresh. We got a Stonington and a Mainah roll and ate at the store. The owner is super friendly and talked to us quite a bit! Also the store is very clean. Would definitely come back again – so so tasty!

Wow! I had never heard of this place until a couple weeks ago, and, as a New Hampshire native I couldn’t resist heading in for some TRUE Maine Lobster. I got the Hearty Stonington, just a heaping portion of Maine Lobster claw and knuckle meat soaked in butter, and laid in a buttered roll. I would suggest a little drawn butter on the side for all the pieces that fall off because it’s so full of lobster meat! The owner was great! The conversation while waiting was engaging and friendly. As New England natives we shared certain memories. Even if you’re not into lobster, but you want to experience a true New England delicacy, try a Fluffernutter! They have whoopie pies flown in directly from Maine, too! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

Fast food style restaurant to get a variety of lobster dishes. New England clam chowder was okay. Lobster bisque bread bowl soup was tasty. Lobster roll was good. We lived in Connecticut for 13 years and this is a decent representation of Maine food in the South.

You might be hesitant to pay $25 for a six inch lobster roll, but keep in mind what you are getting … this place is less expensive than most New England lobster roll places and uses great, high quality lobster meat. While there is always some claw meat, the ratio here was very low, and that made for delicious sandwiches. Service was also excellent, including a very pleasant conversation with the owner as he prepared our order. It is higher priced than typical fast food … You won’t eat here every day, but it was a treat to get food of this quality in Wilmington, NC, so make sure you give it a try. I’ll definitely be back!

Exceptional place to visit and eat. Met the owner – like many others said – very friendly! 99% sanitary rating! We ordered the bisque, and two of the hearty size rolls. Incredibly fresh, bright, and tasty! We also ordered the lobster cheese sandwich as a side . And my son had the grilled cheese – he ate it all. I also recommend trying the Maine sodas they had. Excellent all around – we will be back soon.

I was skeptical about this place because they have earned suspiciously high scores on everywhere online. So I drove about 3 hours to eat lobster rolls at the Maine Lobster Roll Company with my wife and son. First of all, I am very sorry to suspect the quality and taste of food from this restaurant. Their lobster rolls are perfect, everything was very tasty and incredibly fresh. The service from owners was very nice. We will visit any time soon. I am glad I found this place in Wilmington.
