Amazing local business in South Tacoma! The food is just phenomenal and the vibes are perfect! They also hold live music events and karaoke!! Joe is awesome, so friendly and personable. The whole experience was a 100/10.

I love this place. The stage is cute, the sound guy is very helpful, the people that come to watch the music are cool, the employees including the owner, all of it everything and everyone are great. The pizza is good. I wish they served food until later hours though.

I believe 5 stars is reserved for an elite experience or this would be 5 stars across the board. The gentleman that took my order on the phone and counter assistance was great. The selection of drinks when you get there is great. The pizza was also very good. I respect a pizza where you’re getting sauce and toppings all the way to the crust and they do just that. Sauce is yummy. Toppings were pretty good. I’m definitely going to order from here again.

Great place! Nice people and environment. I always feel welcomed. Besides great pizza.They make wonderful sandwiches and salads(the ranch here hits the spot! I would recommend the Double decker club on white bread.) nothing I have had has been sub par including the desserts. Fresh ingredients and well thought out food.

Don’t let the outside fool ya this place is the hit! Great food, amazing sandwich s , perfectly cooked pizza. They had some pretty interesting art work and a killer music set up. Can’t wait to go back when they got it in full gear. Definitely give this place a try!!

The open mic while a great idea to keep the music alive in Tacoma the owner is very rude. He accused me of bringing in a hard tea he himself sold me, I informed him it was know the table when we went out to smoke. He then accused me of bringing in the can from outside that had been sitting on the table. He confiscated the drink I purchased, at a very high mark up by the way, 6 bucks for one can while the entire 6 pack sells for 11.99. I did contact them personally to try to correct their error hoping maybe they seen on the video the old man woke up and realized he was delusional and confused but they then harassed me through messenger and then blocked me from commenting on their Facebook page. They removed my review. They need a better system on containing their in shop purchases and their togo purchases and retire the old man. They need to mark their beer garden better than a door that says no exit. The pizza was in a Lil plastic warming box that did nothing more than bring the pizza to just above room temperature and they do not put your slice back in the oven to reheat. So basically you get leftover slices not reheated and beverages that are highly marked up. The cranky old man, the owner needs to retire or at least work in the back and let someone else handle customer service and let his son take over. The old man seems to be very rude to other costumers according to many reviews. I also know for a fact they remove negative reviews because one of mine has been removed. I do not normally leave reviews but the old man made this place an exception. Good music by great musicians, left over pizza quality, and very rude customer service are what to expect at the Slice of Life Deli & pizzeria in Tacoma on Pacific Ave.

This place has been flying under my radar for some time now. I finally decided to check it out. It was very clean and tidy despite having a cool dive bar atmosphere. Dark red walls adorned with Jimmy Hendrix, the Beatles, Grateful Dead, some Hindu art and celestial pieces. Nice little spot on Pacific Ave just minutes from the Lincoln district.
I ordered a cold veggie sub which isn’t on the menu but they were cool about allowing me to do a build your own kind of thing. Very accommodating. I’m vegetarian and they do have a hot veg sub on menu but I wasn’t feeling something hot today. I give the sub a solid 4 out of 5 stars. I’d say five if the bread was a little better, but I’m a tough cretic because none of the local sub places have the bread like a little spot I grew up with that was ran by a guy from Jersey. He sold his business but kept his bread recipe and I’ve been craving it ever since. Anyway! I’m getting off track! Slice of life is cool! Worth checking out! I like the vibe and will make this a regular spot in the neighborhood!

We went on Monday night for the open mic. There pizza was ok, but why was it cold? The beer cooler is a serve yourself deal. That’s a little weird. We went outside to smoke, let the old man behind the counter know that we were leaving our drinks on the table, to which he acknowledged. However, when we came back in he accused one of us of stealing the hard tea she had just bought from him, when she was suggesting to another friend to get one of those. The old man choose to escalate the situation when I tried to calmly explain that he had made a mistake. Like he made it clear he wanted a fight. I do not recommend anyone go in there, especially to spend money. The old man is a thief, and he does not like accountability. Accusing paying customers of stealing, and when that doesn’t work trying to change the story is just bag business. Only go if you like being ripped off, and maybe abused a little. None of our drinks went outside ever. The owner is not only rude, but also a liar. I can’t recommend this place to anyone with a clear conscience.

I was craving pizza really bad yesterday while running errands in tacoma but I didn’t need a whole pizza so I googled “pizza by the slice near me” And this was the result. The 5 cheese pizza is AMAZING. The pepperoni is just okay and didn’t stand out much.

I just tried this pizza on Friday. Where have you been all my life. Im so glad we found this place. Im from the east coast and was unable to find a good pizza spot. This will definitely do. The hoagie was good as well. Very friendly people as well.
