Christmas all year long — and you feel it the moment you walk in.

What an absolutely magical place. Beautifully decorated, incredibly cozy, and filled with the warmest, most joyful atmosphere. The staff is wonderful, genuinely friendly, and welcoming, the service is outstanding, and the food is simply fantastic. We felt completely happy, relaxed, and truly spoiled.

Do yourself a favor and order the homemade chips — they are an absolute showstopper. The avocado toast with shrimp is brilliant, the fish of the day offers an amazing value for money, and even when you think you’re full, you must make room for a huge slice of cake. Pure happiness on a plate.

This place feels like a warm Christmas hug for the soul. If you haven’t been here, you’ve honestly missed something truly special in life. An absolute must-visit and a place we’ll never forget.

We had such a great experience at The Bubble Room Restaurant. The atmosphere is just as fun and quirky as everyone says. The Knick-nacks, aquarium, and restaurant history were lots of fun. Every room is packed with personality, and it really feels like a must-do…. part of the Captiva experience.

Our server, Serenity, was honestly the highlight of the night. Sweet as a button and completely on the ball. She kept my drinks refilled without me ever having to ask and was so friendly and attentive the whole time. You can tell she genuinely cares about her tables. She was also amazingly helpful with recommendations and assisting with dietary restrictions from my sister.

The food was great, portions were generous, and of course the desserts are a must. The cakes alone are worth the visit. We tried 4 flavors and loved them all.

Overall, super-fun vibe, good food, and OUTSTANDING service. Serenity made the experience even better. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Captiva!!❤️

Me and my mom tried the bubble room this evening and it was lovely. It’s such a whimsical place and the service was good. Fast and they waited on us pretty quickly. We both got drinks and they came out pretty fast and were strong for a good price. We shared the steak and it was cooked to perfection. Came with a Demi glaze and we got tater tots and veggies and all was good!! Then we both ordered a cake slice. My mom got the chocolate with whipped cream and strawberries and I got the vanilla orange cake and both were really moist and yummy! Would definitely come back and try different menu items. I’d say the prices were pretty faire because of its location.

We recently dined here and honestly the experience didn’t quite match the price point. The food was mostly mediocre for what they charge. They had us cut open the steak to check for medium rare — it looked fine at first, but within seconds it turned brown, making it seem more well-done than expected. It almost felt a bit misleading.
The salmon was unfortunately overcooked, though the shrimp was actually pretty good. I also ordered a pineapple alcoholic drink, which was disappointing — it lacked both flavor and any real kick.
On the positive side, the cake we ordered was good. The real standout, though, was the sticky buns. They were easily the best thing we tried and probably a big reason why people come here.
Overall, not a terrible experience, but for the prices, we expected much better.

If you have not already been here: you HAVE to go. This is an institution. The setup and decorations are awesome. The food is great and prepared and served in different style as you might be used to. It might be a little busy at times but waiting time can easily be spent at the bar or at the souvenir shop across the street. No worries, they will call your name via loudspeaker once your table is ready. The cake desert selection is tremendous and the slices are huge. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and fast. We’ll back for more.

My wife and I stopped in for lunch Friday (today) and l’ve got to tell you, in all my years in this business, in all our travels, we’ve never enjoyed ourselves like we did today.
We’ve lived here three different times, and we’ve never been to the Bubble Room Restaurant.
Service was great! Jessica connected as soon as I entered, even though she was swarmed by people trying to get sat.
Robert was our server, and he was great with all his tables.
We watched him present the dessert tray to every table and we ended up going home with three pieces ourselves.
The music is what I play in my own living room, classic jazz.
The decor is very eclectic, with lots of old Hollywood nostalgia, and Christmas, everywhere, everyday! The servers are in Boy Scouts of America uniforms with crazy patches and neckerchiefs.
The Bubbly Mary was very good, followed by two drafts. We got the She Crab Soup and the tuna app, both were delicious!!! The soup was perfectly balanced, creamy, but not thick, with the perfect amount of sherry.
We followed that with the crab cakes and the muffuletta.
I’ve had muffulettas in NOLA, this is as good, even though it’s a unique take. The crab cakes are amongst the best l’ve ever had. Very well done.
We’ve lived here three different times and I can’t believe we’ve never been. We enjoyed this place so, so much!

Birthday celebration perfection at the Bubble Room!
Celebrating a birthday at the The Bubble Room was an absolute blast. The whimsical interior is pure joy—everywhere you look there’s something fun, quirky, and delightfully over the top.
The service was prompt and genuinely friendly, making the experience feel effortless from start to finish. The energy inside is electric—lively, upbeat, and full of people clearly having a great time.
This place is more than a restaurant; it’s an experience. A true bucket-list must for birthdays, celebrations, or anyone who loves a little magic with their meal. ✨

The atmosphere at the Bubble Room is very cool. There is nostalgic memorabilia everywhere. They have all kinds of different seating areas. The staff are very friendly and helpful with meal and restaurant information. I had the Charlie Chaplin Chops with Bourbon Mango sauce. The chops were tender and the sauce very good. The vegetables were nice and crisp and the double baked potato was also good. My wife had the French Onion soup and said it was very good. We dined here 12/11/25.

Being the high season, there was a long wait to get in but it was well worth it. The decor is eclectic and brings to mind Christmas’s of the past. With bubble lights in every room and then more. They have a small but varied menu. I had Crab cake dinner, my wife had a salad. Our friends had a hamburger and the shrimp poor boy. We also had the Key Lime pie. Everything was hot and delish. Pictured are some of the sights and food.

Bubbel Room on Captiva is one of those places that instantly feels special the moment you walk in. The interior is packed with character—eclectic, interesting, and full of little details that make it feel truly authentic rather than staged. It has that laid-back island charm that Captiva does so well, cozy and welcoming without trying too hard.

The food absolutely delivers. Everything we had was well prepared, flavorful, and clearly made with care. From rich, comforting dishes to lighter options, it felt like classic island cuisine done right. Portions were satisfying and presentation was thoughtful without being fussy.

Service was another highlight—friendly, attentive, and relaxed in the best way. You never feel rushed, but you’re always well taken care of, which fits the overall vibe perfectly.

All in all, Bubbel Room is a must-visit on Captiva: great food, genuinely good service, a unique interior, and an atmosphere that captures the soul of the island. A place you’ll remember long after the meal is over.
