I have come to expect burritos from Qdoba that come out more shaped like bricks than, well, burritos, but the one I received today was particularly malformed. With the quality of ingredients inside, I usually overlook the various shapes these burritos take. The one I received today was an exception. Firstly, the fillings had already burst out of the tortilla due to an over-abundance of beans/rice and poor wrapping. Oh well, at least it was more food for my money. But then, halfway through, the whole thing collapsed and turned into a bowl. My pictures are of that. Oops! Notice too the ridiculously sized jalapeño slice. That thing had some crunch. Now both the form and the ingredients are compromised! Lesser parts combining into a lesser whole!

Added a Chipotle pic for comparison. Man, Qdoba has really gone downhill. Not sure if these other reviews are incentivized or what, because ever since switching to Chipotle a year or so ago, I’ve tried Qdoba every several months to see if they’re back, and it’s always BAD. Today confirms it’s not a fluke deal. Once you go to Chipotle down the street and come back, the difference is just drastic.

Chips are stale, man. Food is room temp. The meat is always old. The quesadilla is not grilled, not crispy, and it barely has any cheese. And I’m missing my side that comes with it lol. They used to be HEAVENLY. Compare that to the Chipotle pic next to it.

Just sounds like the restaurant is unmotivated, and lacking quality control. It’s a shame because when I started eating here 4 years ago, they didn’t miss. But in the past year, it’s always like this.

“We don’t do the al a carte bowl here” is absurd. It’s a thing at every other qdoba. I have the highest level rewards status because of how often I eat qdoba, and it’s ridiculous that a store can just choose the change rules out of nowhere. You’re greedy and it’s losing you business.

Will not order here for delivery again. Kids meal was forgot and they ended up putting a quesadilla in foil and throwing in bag with no chips and queso or drink. The food wasn’t even close to what it is when ordered in person. Lesson learned. Definitely not worth the extra spent for delivery.

Food is OK. Preparation going downhill. Any time I order extra of anything they give the standard amount pocketing the extra money I pay. When I ask for extra sour cream I never get it and if there is any at all even on it it’s a tiny blob all the way at one end of the burrito. Extra meat? Maybe one piece. The burritos are mainly rice and beans anymore. The cheapest ingredients. So u basically pay $14 for about $3.50 worth of bean, cheese, rice and tortilla.

I want to give a big shout-out to Brad Fisher at Qdoba Mexican Eats. His customer service is top-notch! When my order came out wrong, he didn’t hesitate to step in with great management skills to make it right. Not only did he fix it quickly and with a smile, but he also went above and beyond by offering me some extra fresh chips. That kind of care and attention really makes the difference. Thank you, Brad, for making my visit a great one—I’ll definitely be coming back!

This location is gas ⛽️
Staff are friendly, and the kitchen is putting out quality stuff! I got a double protein burrito and it was overloaded- they had to bring reinforcements in to roll it
It held up perfectly. Highly recommend this spot

There’s a cooked piece of plastic in my bowl that’s definitely been melted with how wrinkled it is. Was about to swallow it before realizing something felt wrong.

Food was decent. Queso tasted a little different than usual. Register guy was less than thrilled to be there. No smile, no talking, no thank you etc… couldn’t find a clean table. Every table was open, but hadn’t been wiped down. But got in and out quick, which what we needed.

*Update*

I added pics from a recent visit.. I sampled the habanero lime steak bowl with all my normal fixings.. The portion size was great and the steak was very flavorful..

I did notice that the Coca Cola Freestyle soda machines were removed and replaced with traditional fountains with much fewer selections.. I’m glad that’s not a primary reason I visit Qdoba..

Original Review

My wife and I hopped into the Norman Qdoba for lunch the other day, a couple months after our last visit..

She sampled grilled chicken nachos, and I had a surf and turf burrito bowl..

The citrus lime shrimp and grilled steak combined with all my other normal toppings for a great lunch.. For the price, the portion size may have been a bit lacking, but all in all, it was a great tasting bowl..

The employees handling the item selections and building our entrees were friendly and accommodating, and the same could be said for the young man at the register..

Our only observed concern was a random and rather large pile of napkins and cup lids under the counter that sits between the two soda machines..

It seems like general housekeeping here, as we have experienced with several other fast and fast casual food chains, seems to need more routine attention..
