We ordered kebabs and chai! And it was awesome! The meat was soft and flavoured well, and served with mint chutney that just hits the spot! The served us 2 full bowls of free kheer to enhance our dine in experience which made us like the restaurant and staff more for how warm they were. Who doesn’t like free stuff? ☺️ The free dessert was not only fresh but also tasted so delicious.. almost felt too good to be true.. but they were too good indeed… just made my day! A must try Indian restaurant!! ❤️ all my heart :)) do try it guys.. you won’t regret it for sure..

PROs- taste , service , price
CONs – temple like ambience, quantity
Good location, slightly off lex ave though.
Pricing is good . Not too high not too low .
Devotional music with high volume .. it’s like you are inside a temple ..
Lots of seats inside to sit/eat. Was empty when I went . They have a small bar which serves beer and wine . Service was good.
Thali options were good. Had a masala tea and a thali .
Starter chicken kebab was really juicy and went well with green chutney . Quantity looked small but it was sumptuous overall. Liked the goat curry . It was spicyyyyyy 🙂 make sure you tell them your spice level. Dhal was good. Kheeeeeeer was very good .. simple thali . Not too many things . Just naan, rice , curry , dhal. That’s it ..
Overall very good . 4.5/5, but I gave it a 5 star in Google since we don’t have options to give 4.5 !

Great food, service, and atmosphere. The taste and flavors were delicious! I wish I had taken a picture of the food before I ate it because the presentation was nicer, but I’ve included photos of the leftovers. The portions seem small at first but don’t be deceived, the dishes are so filling! The staff was attentive, thank you!

This place was definitely WORTH IT! Sooo delicious, portions are great, and the service is spectacular! Samosa appetizer was fresh and delicious! Got the yummy chicken tikka masala, lamb Rogan, and butter chicken. Of course got the amazing garlic naan and rice too. The rice was so aromatic and fluffy. Loved the naan! Wish I took pictures before we devoured it all! The service here is so fantastic- top tier. Deepak, thank you for the outstanding service. You made this dinner so unforgettable! Also, the other servers were also so attentive, kind, and always made sure our waters were filled to the brim. Such great service is rare these days, and I am grateful to have experienced it tonight. Would definitely recommend, and will definitely be back!

Wonderful time was had here! Not only was the food delicious, but our entire experience was lovely. The owner was incredibly attentive and made us feel so taken care of. Really great atmosphere as well—calm, just the right amount of noise, not too busy, nice simple decor, all that 🙂 We went on a cold Friday evening, and it made for the perfect cozy dinner. Will definitely be returning to try the chicken curry as was recommended to us by the kind owner!

Got takeout from here and it was delicious! We got the typical Chicken Tikka Masala and Butter Chicken entrees and they didn’t disappoint! They were flavorful and there was ample sauce to drench over the rice and pair with their delicious Naan. Their Samosas were crispy and weren’t greasy at all. They paired nicely with the tamarind and mint chutney sauces.
Overall, I’m keeping this spot bookmarked, as the food is reliably tasty.

Mughlai is one of the better Indian restaurants in Manhattan – and we eat Indian pretty frequently in many cities (Houston, Chicago, New York). Owner was very patient in making authentic recommendations to us. The black dal and the chicken biryani were our favorites – everything was flavorful and not washed. Service was great (bringing us raw onions on request, water refills, plate change). Worth coming for dinner for sure if you don’t want to trek out to Queens.

Such a lovely experience! We almost felt like we were family of the owner because of how well we were taken care of. The ambiance cool call n chic. The food is made fresh. If you don’t eat spicy LET THEM KNOW! The food is delectable but has a nice kick! The spicy food here is seriously spicy , my son was in tears… BUT HE WOULDNT STOP EATING! Everyone here was so very nice and welcoming. A phenomenal experience and adding to our regular restaurant roster! Expect to see us back soon! We need to try more so, next Tuesday!

We love Mughlai Murray Hill! This is one of our all-time favorite Indian spots in NYC. The owners are so kind and so generous, their food is delicious, and the Mughlai Special can’t be beat (all this food for $20)!! Love having this local spot so close to home! Highly recommend
