This was me and my wife’s second stop for restaraunt week and could’ve very well been our favorite.
We started with a dirty martini(excellent and perfectly made) and then a caprese salad which was great and extremely fresh as well!
For our main meals I got the braised beef in truffle polenta and she got the burrata lasagna with a share dish of the broccolini. Both of them instantly melted in your mouth with flavor. I don’t think I’ve had that good of braised beef in a LONG time. This place knows what they are doing, SO good. Got an expresso martini to wake me up after all the delicious food and that was also perfectly made.
To top it off our waiter was great and the service was very quick and efficient. The atmosphere is very nice and even being very packed it was very easy to talk and have a good time. We will absolutely be back!

Fantastic food! I don’t know what others are talking about with the lasagna being mediocre. We went on a monday night, place was packed! Best lasagna I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The ragu was also fantastic! Everything looked so good. Tuscan cheesy bread was also delicious! It had red pepper flakes on it, which gave a nice heat. The chocolate cake is phenomenal. Cake slice the size of my head.
Service was okay! They’re all very nice, left us alone for most of the dinner. Kinda forgot about us when it came to the end v(￣ー￣)v
Ambiance was great! Low light was very nice for the senses. A bit loud, but I imagine sitting at the bar or in a booth would’ve fixed the issue. Great song choices too

Every dish was delicious. The host and servers provided outstanding service, and the restaurant is beautiful with a great atmosphere. We were impressed with everything and did not regret choosing this place to celebrate our birthday. The staff even surprised us with ice cream and a candle, which made the night extra special. Despite being busy, the service never dropped. Highly recommended we will definitely come back for the authentic Italian food!

We spent a weekend in Chicago and we came for dinner and we were pleasantly satisfied with our dinner. Everything was delicious and filled with flavor and not to mention the generous portions. I went with my family and we got mozzarella sticks, fried calamari, rigatoni alla vodka, Alfredo, Caesar salad, chicken Parmesan and Parpadelle bolognese. Everything 10/10.The ambience and the atmosphere was warming and a good addition to our dinner.

Absolutely delicious! Chicago has amazing food and Il Porcellino is no exception! The service was on point. A member of my party has a gluten allergy and Beatrice offered her planety of alternative options that were slightly modified to meet her needs. I ordered an espresso negroni, chicken piccata, and tiramisu, and all three were beyond amazing! I will be back next time I am im Chicago. Highly recommend!

So good! We went in to celebrate a belated Valentine’s Day. Our server was attentive and responsive to questions. The food was phenomenal. The star of the show were the lasagna and meatballs. Alongside the chocolate cake for dessert. Vesuvio style potatoes was the only item we wouldn’t order again. Overall delicious and good service!

We visited this place for dinner and had a great experience overall. For starters, we got the whole loaf garlic bread and the stuffed mushrooms, both dishes were really tasty. For our table of 3, one order of each starter felt like the right amount. For the main course, I ordered the chicken parmesan and a side of vesuvio potatoes. They were delicious. I felt like the portion sizes were good and I packed some of the chicken to take home. The cosy ambiance was perfect for a cold winter night. Would love to go back sometime soon.

Wow!! What a wonderful birthday experience we had at Il Porcellino. The food was fresh, flavorful, delicious, and a complete 10/10 from the appetizers all the way to the dessert. What made this visit even better (as if that was possible), was the complete dedication to detail from our wonderful waitress and the entire team at Il Porcellino. The customer experience was absolutely top notch and everyone was so pleasant, friendly, and beyond accommodating to make sure we had a great experience, including the manager checking in on us and even taking our leftovers, boxing them up, and giving them back to us. I cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu!

My husband and I were in Chicago for the weekend and came here for dinner on a Saturday night. The food was absolutely amazing and service was attentive, despite how busy it was. My husband said this was probably some of the best short rib he’s had! The burrata lasagna did not disappoint either. Not pictured is the caprese salad. The prices were also very reasonable. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for some tasty Italian!
