The food was very tasty, couldn’t resist finishing every bite. The dessert after was a nice finisher too, with everything being reasonably priced. Portion size was also great, enough to fill up your stomach but not too much that something gets left. Staff were incredibly welcoming and great customer service from each member we interacted with. Atmosphere was very inviting and comfortable, not too loud nor too quiet. Would definitely visit again for the delicious food and relaxing atmosphere.

We’ve been coming here more than once, and every time we leave happy. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very pleasant and cozy. A special thanks to Alex – he really made our evening and made the whole experience even better. We’ll definitely be coming back

It’s a cosy restaurants and the staff were friendly they helped me with options since I’m vegetarian and lactose intolerant.
We have tried a few of their ramens over time all have tested great. I got the white natural ramen (vegan), we had an early lunch so got the deal they had on 3pm-5pm ramen is £10. My partner got Dracula ton taksu also pork gyoza which looked great.

They were able to accommodate us on a Saturday evening an hour before our table.

Atmosphere felt traditional and you’re able to somewhat see the chefs cooking away.

Customer service was unfortunately poor on this occasion. While the waiter remembered the whole order and we were going to be correctly billed for it, we never received it. This included a drink and dessert.

The food quality was good. Not best. I disliked the meat and egg were served cold, to warm up in the ramen. You can always taste when it’s been sitting a while as its slightly cold and has that taste. Portion size could of been better for the money paid.

Service charge was 12.5%

Great Ramen place. They have a number of other locations in London, but also one in Tokyo. The broth is consistently really good and the wood ear mushrooms such a nice addition. We also had the cucumber side which was simple but oh so yummy! And the kara’age was also good.
The service we received was really good from just the point of being served. Our waiter was attentive and happy and kind. In fact all of them seemed so. Unfortunately we cannot give 5* however due to the fact that we heard (loud enough that others could hear too) the front of house(?) tell the kitchen to “prioritise delivery orders”!
Our only other comment was it was quite busy and staff constantly rushing around.
Overall would definitely return .

Trying Japanese food for the first time, I couldn’t have asked for a better introduction than at Shoryu Ramen. I chose the express lunch option which included the braised pork belly bun and the Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu Ramen. Both dishes exceeded expectations delivering rich flavors , excellent balance and a memorable first experience of Japanese Cuisine.

Tasty, quality, authentic Japanese cuisine at very reasonable prices. Some of the friendliest and most genuine staff we’ve ever encountered, everyone was so lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our visits, the first was so good that we had to come again before we left Manchester. Couldn’t recommend enough, we’ll definitely be back

I frequent the branch in London Carnaby street a lot and thought I’d try the Manchester branch.
Could be the time of day on Tuesday around 6.20 pm. We ordered the Piri Piri Tonkotsu, Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu and Chicken Karage.

The food didn’t come for over 35-40 mins. No probs, we had drinks to keep us busy. Karage was good but inconsistent with regards to size. One portion had 3 very large pieces and the other was 4 VERY small pieces.

The ramen was also super soft/overcooked and we weren’t asked how we’d like them which is normally firm. The pork belly didn’t seem as good as the London branch. Feel like they normally chargrilled them but don’t seem like they do in Manchester, they look anemic/pale. Apologies if this isn’t the case. Also they do a lot of take out orders and don’t seem to focus as much as the customers at the restaurant. Maybe they are understaffed.

Staff are friendly/polite and the atmosphere was good.
