I visited Maman in Georgetown and absolutely loved it.
The pastries are amazing !authentic French flavors with delicate textures. You can truly feel the notes of France in every bite. The interior is beautiful and cozy, though it’s quite busy.
Special thanks to our waiter Dixon for the kind and warm service — his friendly attitude made the experience even better.
And special respect to the coffee — smooth, rich, and perfectly made. Definitely worth visiting

OK, let me start with the positive. It is arguably the most beautiful café by several miles in all of Washington DC. And that’s saying something because DC posts some really extraordinary spaces. The way they have decorated and arrange the seating and the sheer number of tables they have spread spread out in their enormous space and the impressive diversity of different vibes that they have achieved within one huge space is honestly nearly impossible to eclipse outside of maybe some top hotels. Secondly, other than the people who took my order who I would say are probably just really tired from serving so many people for so many hours (not that there was anything negative, but they just did not exude the level of excitement that the rest of the team who subsequently served us as well as the management who came by to see if we were doing OK had). But overall, the service was excellent. Despite being very busy, our server was constantly attentive to all detail details and chatting up every customer according to their energy and needs. So for these two foundational pillars of service if I could give them seven stars, I would. I was just very disappointed with all four of the pastries that I purchased. They looked absolutely beautiful. But don’t be fooled: they do not even come remotely close to real French pattisserie in their execution or in their flavour. The latte flavours are really cool and I ordered them half sweet yet. It was way too sweet and the espresso just was not strong enough to justify that level of sweetness.

My husband and I absolutely love coming here. The environment is very warm and vibrant. The individuals who work here are very down to earth. They make you feel very welcomed, while also making you feel, “at home.” We have went to several locations in the area and each has its own unique experience and atmosphere. The coffee was excellent, and I especially loved the matcha with oat milk — smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. The food was delicious as well, with great choices for both breakfast and light meals. The pastries and baked goods were fresh, beautifully presented, and incredibly tasty.
Overall, Maman is a wonderful spot for great coffee, quality food, and a relaxing vibe. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Georgetown.

Maman is such a cute location that highlights menu items from the south of france and north america. I tried the make your own omelet and it was delicious with spinach! Also I had a very tasty Blueberry and cheese scone! To wrap it all up we tried both the Cafe et Noisette and Pajama Party which are seasonal cocktails for the winter. Go check out Maman for a lovely time with great service. We had the pleasure of working with Juan today for our order and he is lovely and extremely helpful! Bon appétit!!!!!

We visited Café Maman for breakfast because of its very high rating (4.8), but unfortunately our experience didn’t live up to the expectations.
The prices are quite high, while the cappuccino and breakfast were only average. Everything was edible and the service was attentive, but considering the price–quality ratio and the excellent reviews, it didn’t feel real or worth it.
The most disappointing part was the water served with breakfast. It’s complimentary and brought in a bottle, but it seemed to be tap water that tasted strongly of chlorine and even slightly dirty, making it almost undrinkable. After one sip we decided not to drink it. For a café with such high prices, it’s surprising that they don’t use a simple water filter—especially since many other cafés in Washington offer free filtered water that tastes perfectly fine.

A beautifully decorated cafe spot in the busy Georgetown shopping district. I got the lavender latte, which was fragrant and smooth. The service was decent, and the business of the place really helped with the vibe of the place. Would go again and try something different!

The cafe is very lovely, but otherwise highly overrated. The food was just okay, but overpriced. Heavy on the mustard in a potato gratin with a very over-baked crust. Drinks were watered down and we ordered a chocolate chip cookie, which would have been better if it was warmed for even ten seconds. The servers seemed either exhausted or bored, but they definitely weren’t thrilled to be there. No wait, but could only get “bar seating” which was very cramped if near a table. I honestly don’t know how they could fit people in some of the spots without asking people at tables to move. Bathrooms were a mess. Paper everywhere and no hooks for a coat or bag. I would not go back when there are so many better choices close by. Instagram worthy does not make it worth the time or money. Very disappointing.
