Bento box at Sakae Sushi in Parkville today. Miso soup, Chicken teriyaki, tempura veggies, three piece nigiri (salmon & shrimp) with rice. They have many lunch combos starting at $15. It was delicious and perfect for lunch!

Peter is THE BEST sushi chef! His creations were spectacular. Definitely sit at the sushi bar to watch him work. The lemon drop roll was a last minute add in so it’s not pictured, but holy moly – OUR FAVORITE! All the food was amazing! You can’t go working with this place.

Been going here for over a decade, this place opened my eyes to sushi in general. Never ever have we had a single bad experience here. The owners know and remember us and are always so welcoming and make sure we are taken care of. All of their specialty rolls are special indeed, and the bento boxes are wonderful. Please support this small local sushi joint!

We have been coming here over 12 years and it is hands down not just the best sushi in KC, but some of the best I’ve enjoyed in my lifetime (I began eating sushi in Gardena Ca back when all of the japanese car companies had their USA hq there).

Sam and his lovely wife and wonderful staff always remember us and make us feel special and we see that they have the same feelings for so many other customers! Always remembers my wife’s special needs (no sesame seeds). We recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for sushi or a special spot!

I went here after having to walk out of KC sushi. I’m so happy I did because I found this place. Waitress was great and helped pick out stuff we might like based on what we were ordering. We loved everything! We go out to sushi often and just moved and this is the best place we have been to so far. The unagi was amazing. They have booths. Staff greeted regular customers like friends. Great environment all together and the sushi is amazing!

The food here is really good, and the service is very fast. We enjoyed our meal very much, including crab rangoon, egg roles, soup, sushi, and fried rice. It wasn’t very busy, so we were seated right away on a Sunday night at about 6:30 pm. I would definitely recommend Sakae Sushi!

Absolutley loved it. The food was excellent and the amosphere was very relaxing. The best part of this dining experience was that all the dishes were not packed with food the proportions were just right so you had to enjoy e ery last bite. The meal is very diverse sushi wise and even the kids loved the food. Higly reccomend. Also the food was so good I did something I have never done in a sushi restaurant….I didnt touch any soy sauce and didnt realize it until my way out.

Very friendly service and good sushi. Unfortunately we found two hairs, one in a roll and another under a piece of sashimi hence the three stars. I’m sure it was an accident but still it’s gross.
We paid a little over $100 for two adults and a child.
