I was starving when I got there. I found the food good but I wasn’t sure if it was because I was super hungry. Husband confirmed it was very good.
We went as a group and ordered a number of items.
The fries are very good. Would definitely recommend as a side if you like them crisp.
We really enjoyed the hush puppies but was told by my friends normally restaurants include that as bread service for free. Here it will cost you $2.99.
Everyone enjoyed their food. We went for lunch so ordered a number of those items (pictures included) .
The chopped steak was great. The sauce was very complimentary. Husband asked for it rare which is why it looks like that.
The space is huge. It seems separated by different lamps/lights which is kind of interesting. There are partitions that do separate the room but not full on walls. It might get loud if full, but it was empty since we went been lunch and dinner.
Service was very friendly.
The calamari was good, but the sauce super watery. Since we were sharing it would have been nice if they had given us more than one dipping sauce. Even 2 since the table is long and we ended up dripping or needing to reach all the time.
Overall I’d go back and try more of the dinner menu items. I didn’t find a must have dish for myself but I would definitely get the fries again as a side.

Great atmosphere and extremely clean. The service was good. My meal was presented very well however the Tuna wasn’t for me but I think I perhaps should’ve chosen something else like Salmon.
We also got the pick two seafood plate with Shrimp and Oysters. It only came with 4 oysters for $19. We mentioned this to the waiter and he said a lot of people complain about that. My thoughts were if people continually complain shouldn’t they re-evaluate? $19 is a lot in Jacksonville for fried seafood although I will say I feel the shrimp were high quality.
I hope they do very well because it’s a really beautiful restaurant. My suggestions would be they need a few more unique dishes because everything on the menu was non surprising (Chicken, Steak, Fish, Pasta). It’s a lovely restaurant. Lots of booths, but good for larger parties too. We were there on a Saturday late afternoon. The starter was delicious, chili Thai shrimp. The entrees of salmon and shrimp linguini Alfredo were also very good. We also enjoyed the background music – oldies but goodies!

Nice place. First time going and we went for lunch. We had the bacon cheddar burger and it was good, but not much flavor, but good. We also had the creme brulee and it was good. I liked how the sugar on top wasn’t overwhelming. Service was good and waitress was nice. We will be back again to try something else on menu.

Food was amazing! Everything taste fresh! Our waitress was slow. And kind of rude. She came take our appetizer order and I was talking to her about it, and she just left right when I was talking. One of the other waitress saw it and I think she told someone, cause after that the same waitress that walk away came back and wasn’t slow anymore.

Went in for a late lunch with my husband. We have never been here before and wanted to try it. We know Jeff the owner from his other place Jeff’s Hotdogs and have always enjoyed it. We order off the lunch menu. I got the fried shrimp which comes with fries and coleslaw. It was really good and the perfect amount for lunch. My husband got the philly chicken sandwich and he said it was really good as well. It also came with fries. The sweet tea is good as well. The bill was $19 and some change which is not bad at all. Our waitress was very nice and did a great job. The restaurant is clean and very nicely decorated and the womens bathroom was clean as well. We will be coming back to eat here again.

Tried the place for the first time for lunch. Very quiet, but that is to be expected since they just opened. Service was good and the food was good, but the cost was a little high for what I got: Drink, app of fried pickles, and a steak Philly sandwich and it was $20. Normally I don’t get apps at lunch, but I wanted to try it, so that is $6 of that. The food was hot, but was pretty standard including freezer fries. For “upscale” I would have expected handcut fries or some other personized touch to make it different than other places. The interior is very nice. Adding WiFi would be great since there is very little cell service inside.

Overall The Osprey was better then I expected. The location mmade me a little nervous about the type of place it is, but I was pleased. The menu is just ok. A little steak, a little fish a little chicken, but not much variation within. Also, it must not be that popular as we were there 3 hours and saw just a handful of other people. It’s big enough for groups and our waitress was very attentive. They did run out of my beer, but that happens I guess. Prices were ok, but I probably wouldn’t bring my family here for a meal. Business dinner or group function, but not family. Check it out when you have time, but no hurry.

Beautiful restaurant. Very clean. Very neat. However, it is expensive and portions were small. The food tasted great. I went for lunch with 2 adults and 2 children and it was $60! We only had 4 entrees, our drinks and an appetizer. We ate it all and left hungry; no left overs; our plates were clean. It’s a great date place for the upscale atmosphere. But, bring your wallet heavily loaded and do not be starving. You are paying for upscale atmosphere and taste.

Nice, clean place. Very friendly atmosphere. Absolutely loved their fried calamari with Thai chili sauce. We went on a Wednesday & they had a special for wine. $3.50 for a glass of their house wine. Great deal. I had their fettuccine Alfredo & my husband had their shrimp scampi. He was very pleased with the amount of shrimp in the dish compared to other places. Not as garlicky as he would have liked but that’s ok. It’s a good place for a quiet bite to eat to get away from all the chain restaurants down Western Blvd.
