An outstanding dining experience at COTE Korean Steakhouse.

The quality of the beef was exceptional. Perfectly marbled, expertly cooked, and deeply flavorful, each cut reflected a high level of sourcing, technique, and respect for the ingredient. From the grill to the table, everything was executed with precision and confidence.

The service was equally refined and thoughtful. Knowing my son is about to begin a new chapter of his life in New York, the team surprised us with a meaningful gift and a beautifully presented fruit plate. Throughout the evening, we were met with genuine warmth, encouragement, and kindness.

In the cold of a New York winter, COTE offered not only an excellent meal, but a moment of humanity and connection. A truly memorable experience.

We visited COTE for a Thanksgiving lunch while traveling from California, and it truly exceeded every expectation. We ordered the Thanksgiving preset menu, and the experience from start to finish was flawless.

The meal opened with a turkey dumpling in a clear, soothing broth—simple, elegant, and the perfect warm beginning on a cold and windy Thanksgiving Day in New York. From there, each course showcased COTE’s signature balance of Korean flavors and elevated steakhouse finesse. The progression of dishes was thoughtful, beautifully plated, and incredibly satisfying.

The meats were outstanding—perfectly marbled, expertly grilled, and full of rich flavor. Each bite reminded us why COTE is one of the most celebrated restaurants in Manhattan. The side dishes and accompaniments were equally memorable, complementing the main courses without ever overwhelming them.

Service was impeccable. The staff was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable, guiding us through the menu with ease and making us feel truly welcomed on this holiday. The ambiance added to the experience as well: modern, stylish, and buzzing with that New York energy, yet still comfortable enough for a special Thanksgiving meal.

This was more than just lunch—it was a holiday memory we’ll cherish. Highly, highly recommend COTE for anyone looking for an elevated dining experience in Manhattan.

An exceptional dining experience from start to finish. The quality of the meat is outstanding—beautifully marbled, expertly sourced, and grilled to perfection right at the table. Each cut is flavorful on its own, and the curated butcher’s feast is especially worth it for first-timers.

Service is polished, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and energetic, making it ideal for special occasions or an elevated night out. The banchan and sides are thoughtfully prepared and complement the meal well, and the wine list is extensive and well-curated.

Pricey, but absolutely worth it for the quality, service, and overall experience. One of the best steak-focused meals in NYC.

Extremely hard reservation to snag — it took us six months of perseverance. And finally… worth. every. click.

COTE absolutely lives up to the hype. The meats are superb, incredibly aged that salt is truly all you need. Nothing else. That said, my Korean heart will always choose the marinated kalbi. No notes.

We ordered the Butcher’s Feast ($78 pp), which is a lot of food, so don’t let anyone sweet-talk you into adding extras. It comes with two soups, egg soufflé, scallion salad, rice, lettuce and perilla leaves, kimchi (of course), and probably one or two things I’m forgetting because I was happily overwhelmed.

Service is above and beyond, attentive, warm, and perfectly paced. The ambiance is cozy, though I’m still undecided about the backless chairs. Luckily, I have excellent posture. ‍♀️

The tabletop BBQ was perfection on a winter night. Fingers crossed it won’t take another six months to get my next reservation!

I had an unforgettable dining experience at Cote Korean Steakhouse. From start to finish, the service and food were truly exceptional. Our server, Kida, was outstanding—polite, knowledgeable, and impressively attentive while managing multiple tables. Their timing was perfect, especially while cooking tableside, which made the entire meal feel effortless and enjoyable.

The food was beyond delicious. The “Steak & Eggs” filet mignon tartare was absolutely to die for—rich, silky, and beautifully balanced. The scallops were cooked perfectly, tender with a slight sear that made each bite memorable. The mocktails were refreshing and expertly crafted.

If you go, you must order the Grand Cru Galbi—it was a standout dish that I’m still thinking about. We opted for the Butcher’s Feast, which was the ideal way to sample a bit of everything, and every cut was flavorful and expertly prepared.

Cote delivers on every level—phenomenal service, exceptional food, and a dining experience that feels both elevated and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Great experience – it’s Michelin starred Korean BBQ, so the price is going to reflect that. However, the amount of food you get for $78 per person with the butcher’s feast is excellent. All it the meats were incredibly delicious, the ban chan dishes were numerous and tasty, and it was nice to have a scoop of ice cream included at the end for a sweet finish. Definitely would recommend if you’re looking for a good value Michelin experience and like kbbq.

COTE is the perfect mix of Korean BBQ and a classic New York steakhouse — upscale but still fun and energetic. The lighting is moody, the vibe is lively, and it’s great for date night or a nice dinner with friends.

The quality of the meat is outstanding — beautifully marbled, tender, and full of flavor. The staff grills everything for you at the table, so you can just relax and enjoy. The banchan and sides are well-balanced and help cut through the richness of the steak.

High-level takeaway: Good steak – not particularly worth the price for some cuts. Poor service. Sides were not great. Banchan was good.

Food: Some items are close to being executed well. Tartare felt under seasoned. Dolsot bibimbad had 0 crust (unforgivable) and was very heavy on sesame oil. Ice cream is incredible. Grand Cru galbi is too sweet for my taste and much too expensive for what it is. American wagyu is fantastic.

Service: mostly everyone was pleasant. Our main server seemed like he hated his job. He was very curt with us and at some point left during the middle of us ordering meats because “we didn’t decide yet.” I promise, we were not waffling around wasting time so this came off as extremely rude to us. Staff does rotate around so other people were much more pleasant.

Honestly – I appreciate this restaurant groups prix fixe options and I think they offer a good experience and generous portion for the price when you do those. We did not get it this time but I believe that would have been a better option given my experience at COQODAQ as well.

We tried the Butcher’s Feast at Cote and really enjoyed it. Everything felt well thought out—from the service to how the food was paced. It’s definitely on the pricier side, but it’s more of an experience than just dinner.

The meat was cooked perfectly and the flavors were spot on. I liked almost all the sides, especially the okra, egg soufflé, and the barbecue sauce. The scallion salad was also really good and added a nice balance to the meal.

We also got the Yobo soju, which was smooth and tasty, though a bit expensive.

Overall, Cote was a great experience with excellent food and service. Pricey, yes, but worth it for a special night out.

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere and fairly reasonable food price for the service and quality. I’ve already returned for my FIANCE’s birthday. We were well taken care of Carlos the first time even though we literally had a midnight booking. A few complaints though: I understand it’s a way to make more money via drinks but why have me wait 10+ min at the bar when I have a reservation? I even purposely came a few minutes late after coming early the first time to avoid this and they still made us wait at the bar! Secondly, the drinks are way overpriced. Typically cheap Soju is the standard when going out for kbbq, I understand this is Michelin star but the cheapest soju is nearly 100 dollars I believe ? Where are the cheaper options? Thirdly, I know it’s not required but I do find it a bit stingy that I returned for my fiancé’s birthday and they did not offer him a single freebie. No free drink, no free app, no discount off the bill, nothing. Service was great and I would go back but it just felt a bit cold. Combined with the hard to acquire reservation I’m not sure if I’ll be back soon
