Jennifer was an amazing waitress today on my visit. Just like everytime I have been in here. The owners are also amazing. Always greeting people with a smile while running the restaurant. As for the food I always get lemon chicken here. It is very hard to find authentic lemon chicken at any restaurants these days. Highly recommend this spot for dinner. Very affordable and large portions as well.

I’ve eaten at Chinese restaurants all over this country. Big cities, tiny towns, strip malls, airports, even one inside a bowling alley. Somehow the best one ended up being right here in Bayfield. I don’t know who runs the kitchen, but I’m convinced they trained under a wise culinary monk who lives on top of a mountain and only speaks in noodle metaphors.

The food tasted ok. But I have tasted better but not in this city. Waited almost one hour for our food after ordering. The waitress indicated they were out of one ingredient in the meal we ordered. Given the length of time waiting, we did not change our order.

We stopped here for lunch while passing through town. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous portion sizes and the super friendly staff. I had the lunch serving of General Tso’s chicken and I was shocked when a heaping plate of freshly prepared food arrived at the table. It was absolutely delicious and, for the price, an awesome deal! I will definitely return to this location in the future.

Update – 5 stars to 2, read below. Every morsel was tasty! Large portions and excellent quality. Edit: Party of 12 adults from out of town to ride the Durango train. Loved it so much we returned the next evening. *** We recommend the Seafood Combination substituted with Kung Pao sauce.
■ Update: we returned 2 years later. They must have had a change in cooks or they are not buying the spices used in our previous dishes. 5 stars knocked down to 2 stars for flavor. A table of 12 people eating various dishes. There was no difference between the sauces. As if all the dishes were cooked in the same pan and same cooking oil. It was a huge disappointment. ☆☆ Wait for reviews of impeccable flavor for each specific dish before visiting.

Simple, unpretentious but excellent Chinese flavors and cooking techniques, such as you would hope for in a restaurant of this kind. The chicken with garlic sauce was superb, though order it extra spicy. Ask for their hot chili oil—an excellent complement to all the dishes.
