I came here to try their mushroom burger and overall had a great experience. The toppings were excellent, and I loved that there were plenty of menu options. Since the restaurant is fairly new, it was a little tricky to find—there was construction blocking the street where it’s located. I ended up parking a street over and walking past the construction site to get there.

Despite arriving close to closing time, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. I placed my order within the last 20 minutes before closing and didn’t arrive until about two minutes after they officially closed, but they still stayed open and made my food. I really appreciated that, especially after dealing with typical New York traffic and potholes. I even called to confirm they received my order, and they assured me they were already making it, which was great customer service.

The mushroom burger was HUGE—don’t let the pictures fool you. It was messy, but absolutely delicious. The fries were also messy in the best way and tasted amazing. Everything was cooked to order, so the food was fresh and hot.

They mentioned they had just opened, and I’m definitely looking forward to coming back to try more items on their menu. I enjoyed everything I ate, and I can’t wait to return. It was everything!

I got the Chop’d Cheese w onions and pickles added in 10/10.
And the Mac and Cheese 100/10 just wow! If you try anything get the Mac! Just Phenomenal !!! I’ve been vegan for so long and am not a fan of many meat/dairy vegan “dupes”. Perfect and refreshing for wanting some “fast food”! The atmosphere was lovely beautiful artwork and decor. The owner even took time to speak with me and it was a very nice conversation. A welcoming environment, overall incredible first time I will be back!!!

We tried this vegan restaurant by chance and we are so glad we did! The food is delicious. The chef/owner prepares all the dishes to order and everything was amazing. The mushrooms are lightly fried and perfectly seasoned. We had the southwestern shroom and it was very flavorful. The buffalo mac and cheese was creamy, mushrooms were crispy and it had a nice kick. The French fries were nicely seasoned. Both the owner and host greeted us and made sure we were enjoying the food. Definitely going back. Highly recommend.

I recently discovered this hidden gem in downtown New Rochelle. To help put things into perspective – I am not vegan so this is an unbiased review from a person with a regular carnivore diet. I sometimes prefer a non meat dish but it has to be filled with great flavor for me to enjoy it. This place checks all the boxes for me – vegan food is flavorful, food is made fresh to order, and the customer service is top tier. The owner is extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the ingredients in each menu item. On my 1st visit, the owner gave recommendations and was patient with me as I was undecided on what I really wanted to try.
After my 1st visit, I ate at this restaurant almost everyday for 2 weeks going through the menu options until I found my favorites.

My favorite menu options in this order:
1. Chocolate chip cookies
2. Toonah Club
3. Lemon Pepper Cauli bites
4. OG Shroom

Whether you are vegan / vegetarian / pescatarian / regular carnivore, you won’t regret trying this restaurant. Check it out and you will thank me!

Impressive Vegan food for sure! The customer service, solid, detailed, very on point! The Spicy Buffalo Shroom, immediately had me in my feelings, when they described this as comfort food, I had no idea the follow through would be so intense, the shit is DELICIOUS! Well seasoned, gently battered, hearty, like an ACTUAL MUSHROOM BURGER, the bun soft and thick! The spices, I practically inhaled the burger! The sweet potatoe fries!!!! A YES!!! Seasoned perfected, WOW! I wish I were exaggerating, this spot is 10/10, the mac and cheeze is AMAZING! A Caribbean spice from the first bite, OMG, and the chop’s cheeze empanada!! First of all, how’d they come up with such a dish?! The spot is immaculate, tranquil as ever, definitely a vibe! I sat and ate, warm and comfortable, I found a fire vegan spot, thank you kindly!

This was my first time trying vegan food and I was surprised by how much flavor it had. My favorites were the tuna, mac-n-cheese and the chop’t cheese. As someone that is not familiar with this lifestyle, they made it easy for me to order food and was very patient with my questions. The artwork on the wall is amazing as well. It’s designed as a take out but had seating where I was able to eat my food on the spot! This was a wonderful introduction to vegan food options.

Today was our first visit to Veg’d Out in New Rochelle and it won’t be our last. I was so excited to hear that delivery will also be available on Uber Eats as we live about thirty minutes from the location. I had heard about it on a local foodie page and knew I had to take my vegan daughter. We decided to dine in at one of the two tables so we could eat everything hot from the kitchen. My daughter loved the decor, noting it was cool, urban, and had a feel “like the city”, while I liked the cleanliness. As we waited for our food, we got to talking to Alan, the owner. What a nice guy and what a visionary! A vegan himself, he created the concept for the restaurant… delicious, healthy, plant based ingredients that satisfies a craving for comfort food. We each had a different variety of their shroom sandwiches, one was the simple OG and the other the spicy Buffalo (wasn’t too spicy) and our eyes rolled at how good they were. Mushrooms that were seasoned, crispy, and not at all greasy, with great toppings on a
Pretzel bun (my favorite) really hit the spot. They were a world apart from those processed fried chicken substitutes you get at the supermarket. The price was so reasonable too, I think the sandwiches were about $12. The only thing I’ve had that compares was at a fancy vegan restaurant in Manhattan and the sandwich there was close to 30 bucks! I was ready to try their pulled jackfruit sandwich but it was sold out so it must be good and I’ll try it next time. We tried the Mac n cheez. I’m not vegan and don’t usually care for plant based cheese but this was so yummy, because it was its own thing, a great balance of savory and touch creamy. We also had the loaded fries that were like those late night chili fries you might have at a diner. The ground mushrooms tasted completely different from the mushrooms on the sandwiches so my fear of getting mushroomed out was for nothing. They complimented the caramelized onions, cheez, and Buffalo sauce to perfection. We got a delicious chocolate chip cookie (would never guess it was vegan) to go. I’m not a frequent reviewer but when I experience a place that is new, different, and really goes above and beyond expectations I have to share.

Finally !!! An all vegan spot in lower Westchester ! The food and service beyond exceeded my expectations. This place is a must try. Easily accessible from 95 so even if you’re just passing through I encourage you to stop by.

We had the Chopped cheese, loaded fries and the Buffalo Mac and could not choose a favorite because they were all 10/10!! The real star of all 3 of the dishes were the way they transform mushrooms into vegan “meat”. This comfort food left me feeling full and energized instead of gross and sleepy like other vegan comfort food experiences I’ve had.
The owner Alen was very friendly and hospitable and was happy to chat with us.
Best of luck to you guys!! We will be regulars ❤️
