If you’re looking for authentic flavors and great value, Good Chef is the place. We had a feast of dim sum pork and beef gyozas, siu mai, and dumplings plus a solid Tonkatsu Ramen. Everything was flavorful and served quickly. I love that it’s a one stop shop since you can hit their well stocked market right after dinner. Great food, great prices, and excellent service.

Do yourself a favor and visit! Friendly faces will greet you and you’ll be enamored with all the anime decorations. Most days, you’ll have to write your name down and wait, but you’ll keep busy with the great Asian market there. We always start off with a large selection of appetizers plus a boba tea. The portions are enough to share with the whole table. You can never go wrong with anything you order because everything is delicious! Leave space for the rainbow cake as dessert too.

I absolutely loved this Japanese restaurant! The Pad Thai was incredibly delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and fast. The place has a really cool Japanese-themed atmosphere with lots of traditional decorations. One of the best parts is the market in the back, where you can find many amazing Japanese products and unique items. Highly recommended!

Such a cool spot right next to the market! The decor was perfect with all the anime and hanging lanterns! The takoyaki was perfectly cooked with a little runnyness inside and great flavor! The bonito flakes on top were stringy-like and super thin which I thought was much better than the traditional flakes! The ramen was on point as well with homemade noodles. The only thing I would change is the egg needs to be seasoned for longer but they may have just been made as the photos I’ve seen from previous patrons the eggs look marinated longer. The service was prompt and cordial and would love to come back here again!

My mom and I stopped by Good Chef to browse their little market and decided to grab a bite at the restaurant while we were there. I’ll start with a positive: I actually really liked the anime-themed decor. It’s unique, fun, and definitely adds personality to the space.
Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.
The customer service wasn’t great. It felt inattentive and unwelcoming, which immediately set the tone for the meal. We ordered two servings of crab rangoon, and I was honestly shocked at both the price and the quality.
To put it simply — it was the worst crab rangoon I’ve ever had.
They tasted like they were deep-fried in old oil, with that heavy, stale aftertaste. They didn’t seem fresh at all — more like something pulled from a freezer and quickly dropped into the fryer. When I opened them up, there was barely any filling besides cream cheese. I couldn’t find any actual crab inside, which was really disappointing, especially considering how much they charged for them.
I was genuinely sad about how much money we spent on those two orders, only to be completely let down.
I love supporting unique, themed spots — and the anime vibe really had potential — but unfortunately, the food quality and service just didn’t meet expectations. I hope they improve because the concept itself is cute.

I had a great experience at Good Chef near FIU in Miami! The food was amazing — I had the curry chicken with fried rice, and my daughter enjoyed a delicious pad Thai. The service was excellent, and even though the place is small, it has a cozy and welcoming vibe. What makes it even better is the mini Asian market inside — they have a great selection of products that are hard to find elsewhere in the area. Definitely worth visiting if you’re craving authentic Asian food and friendly service!

We love coming to a good chef. The food is superb but what truly makes the place amazing is the staff. They are always happy and will do anyting to make the best of your dining experience. Food comes outs quickly, hot and flavorful. You will always feel welcome here. To make it all even better now you get points everytime you dine and can cash it out for prizes!

food was really good, everything was made well! food came out pretty quickly and we left full. portion size was well worth the price!
only complaint i could have, which isn’t too serious, is that the spice levels are a bit inaccurate. the menu said my ramen would be less spicy than what my fiance got and when it came out and we tried it, mine was by far way more spicier. regardless still enjoyable!
