Thank you! Mecca my server you were amazing. The staff is extremely diverse and polite. What they didn’t know is I am an active duty service member relocating to my new base taking 95 north. I had a taste for some crispy pancakes today so 20 minutes ago I stopped at the Smithfield location. I was disrespected and treated EXTREMELY poorly at that location and left. While still north bound on 95 I saw this location and decided to give the franchise another try. Walking in the diversity of the staff stood out. I was seat at a much better table and my waitress wasted no time bringing me a drink k and taking my order. She had no idea how I was treated at the same franchise right down the road. She was genuinely kind and had hospitality. Thank you so much for hanging my perception of the business and treated a customer how they deserve to be treated. Much better location with amazing staff. The ambiance when you walk it just felt different. The energy was much better.

Visited here yesterday and haven’t been in years and years. Nothing has changed and that was what I enjoyed about it. They were very busy and our server was still very attentive. Love the fireplace, cozy homey vibes. Front store has so much going on that was very fun to browse- great stocking stuffers or gift options!

Like almost everyone in the restaurant, we were heading down 95 and needed a break, why not Cracker Barrel? Sure. 1:30pm, we were craving breakfast.
We were seated immediately, things were slow. We both ended up with the almost same order, scrambled eggs, bacon, I went cheesy grits, she passed on the side, and toast. Sweet tea and hot tea.
The runner brought our food, asked if we needed anything else? Just our toast. Reply: It’ll be right out. The waitress stopped said she doesn’t like to put the toast in til the food is out, so it’s not cold. Ok A unique approach, Ive eaten a lot of breakfast, toast always accompanied the eggs.
About 10 more minutes went by, a waitress check, things ok? We’d like to have our toast, it’ll be right out.
Breakfast, especially Cracker Barrel portions of food, doesn’t take long to eat. So we were done, yet still hoping, yearning, for toast. It’s probably warm now.
The waitress comes by, drops the check, and leaves. Tick tick tick…now we are on the toast watch. But we have lost hope.
She stops again, the poor toast was burnt, she forgot about it, and it burned. Poor toast.
Now the cheesy grits. Having 10 flakes of cheese on it, doesn’t mean it’s cheesy. Cooking grits in a southern CB you’d think they’d have the grit prep dialed in. Nope. It was disgustingly soup like. Still wanting my toast I dared not push the staff for palatable grits.
I did get a sweet tea refill, almost half a glass. Awesome.
We paid our $34 bill at the register. The clerk asked if everything was ok, well we never got our toast. Hoping for a modicum of sympathy, she kinda grunted, ignoring the toast oversight, that’ll be $34..
Yeah Uncle Herschel, he’s the problem.

We got caught in the snow and ice while driving our rv. Me and the dog stayed in the parking lot for a few hours and when we woke up the store was open and we were ready for breakfast. Ordered the NY strip, eggs and hash browns, everything was very delicious.

I ordered a steak and a burger for my son. We waited about 20 minutes for our food. While we were waiting, the waitress brought us brisket, but she did not bring any plates—only napkins for us to eat with, which felt very unusual and uncomfortable.
When our food finally arrived, the steak was cooked rare, and my son’s burger had tomatoes and pickles even though we specifically asked for them not to be included. I politely asked if my steak could be cooked well done. Instead of properly cooking it, it appeared that the meat was microwaved. It came back extremely dry, hard, and almost like a stone. It was very obvious, and it felt insulting that they would think I wouldn’t notice.
The entire experience was disappointing. I have eaten there many times before, but this particular service from the waitress was very poor. Honestly, the way we were treated made me feel uncomfortable, and it came across as disrespectful. It was racism with a revenge of poor service.
Despite everything, I still left a 15% tip, but I left feeling upset and very disappointed with the experience

Server was attentive. Wait was long. The biggest issue was the food. It was simple menu items that we ordered . The Chicken noodle soup was not edible . The grilled chicken salad was on a bed of old salad greens. Very little chicken. Cherry tomatoes were old . The Breakfast burger was ok. On a positive note. Ice tea and steak fries good .

I love cracker barrel but slowly the last few visits to any of the numerous restaurants are a disappointment.. the service has declined and food is hit or miss.. yesterdays server who had a mask on and coughed and hacked behind the mask which as a customer with a weakened immune system I was taken back that she was waiting on customers.. she was so slow and preoccupied with a 4 top table beside us that we waited 20 minutes just to order.. she didn’t bring any creamer we requested and didn’t bring the sugar packets we requested a couple times.. she didn’t bring out our biscuits & muffins before the meal and only after I asked her later if my meal came with it”” did she bring some…. my food did taste good… chicken tenders, carrots and dumplings.. it wasn’t hot but flavor was good.. the other meal off the breakfast menu was cold..the biscuits and gravy wasn’t brought out and we had to remind her it was ordered with ham, eggs, apple’s and grits”” she dropped off a saucer of gravy and then 10mins later after the gravy was cold she brought out 2 biscuits “‘ bad service! I sat with a empty glass of tea and cold cup of coffee the entire meal… She acted offended by our request for a To go box and never did bring a requested bag”” 0 stars for service .. food 3 of 5 stars and if food was hot would had been 5 stars””” the gift shop was the highlight as it’s usually better than the restaurant side “” I’m at the point I won’t continue eating at Cracker Barrel ” if service doesn’t improve.”

The service is always wonderful at this Cracker Barrel and the food delicious (and good portions!). Love the place with the store that is best to go to after you eat because you’ll spend ALOT of time looking at all the wonderful items! Really fun place to go with good food, good service and good items to buy!
