If I l could 0 stars I would. I called to order a pizza tonight at 5:33. They told me 20-25 minutes. Gave them a little extra time since its a Saturday. Went in at 6:10 to pick up, said large Sophias special for Trisha, the lady is looking at the tickets, says what was it again, had to repeat myself, then says are you sure you called the right place. Have it right in my call log. Will not be going there anymore. Can’t even take a simple order!

So I ordered a cheese pizza if fettuccine Alfredo a Gyro and a meatball grinder with sauce, onions and pepper peppers no cheese they told me onions and peppers. They’d have to charge me extra for because it doesn’t come on their meatball grinder which was $15 for meatball sauce, onions, and peppers. The cost total cost for everything $92 but OK whatever my son goes to pick everything up he comes home. There’s no meatball grinder so I called down there like it’s nothing at all. Oh yeah, we have it here I live almost in Massachusetts. The fact that I had a drive down there to pick up the meatball grinder a second time that cost me $17 almost with tax for three meatballs, onions, and peppers and sauce not even any cheese on it and what kind of grinder that’s a hot grinder like that doesn’t come with onions and peppers. The waitress was rude. Didn’t apologize. I keep trying to give this place a chance but every time I go, it’s something different. I used to love Sophia‘s growing up, but it is not the same place anymore, and definitely not with the same respectful atmosphere that you used to have

Nothing good at all to share. I got a chicken Caesar wrap for lunch today, and about 2 hours later, I was sick to my stomach. The wrap didn’t even taste good. The lettuce was very wilted and there was no flavor. But I am convinced that the food was mishandled due to my upset stomach. I’ve been attempting to get a refund, but no such luck yet.
***Update… Slice is giving me a refund for it. It was not easy to get, but I’m getting it. Still, though, I will not eat here again.
***ANOTHER UPDATE… My refund was issued, and then reversed… Slice is looking into this.
*****YET ANOTHER UPDATE… Sophia’s told Slice that we never picked up our order. So, no refund. I had food poisoning from eating here. It is very safe to say that I will NEVER do business with Sophia’s ever again.

The grinders that were so good in my review posted five weeks earlier in mid-September, were surprisingly bad this mid-October. The Food Network’s Alton Brown, always said something like ‘all chefs have bad days.’ This must have been such an occasion. Burned bread and oddly sliced into one quarter/three quarter pieces, we all agreed these were not like the ones we had before. An off night.

Sophia’s grinders last night as takeout were delicious. One hot ham with provolone, lettuce and tomato; one Philly cheese steak with mushrooms, peppers, onion and mozzarella; one veal parmesan. It’s iffy trying a veal parm grinder where you haven’t had one before but theirs tasted really good. The Philly cheese steak was also very flavorful and made just the way it should be component wise with everything melding together. The compelling scent of the hot ham coming from the bag overpowered the others and proved to be really well made. We’d reorder any of these again. The gal on the phone said her favorites were their meatball and turkey for those looking for another choice.

A quick Plan B brought us here today after a nearby place was closed for vacation. The food and service were both good and the casual atmosphere was what we were in the mood for this Sunday. The buffalo wings had crispy skins, moist meat and a soft burn to their sauce. My Chicken Florentine with the choice of a vegetable side over pasta was very satisfying. The shrimp basket with fries was fair and for what it was should not have cost more than my entrée. We bought a meat lovers pizza to bring home. We shared a slice before leaving and liked it. A generous amount of four meats – hamburger, pepperoni, sausage and bacon and cheese. Average Greek style crust. Nice waitress working hard as the only staff, still took the time to find out where a couple of wines were from when we were ordering.
Surprising to see how many negative reviews are posted for this restaurant, though the majority seems to be delivery issues. Hire a new driver or no longer offer delivery service. Another is wait time on popular nights though these comments vary from quick to long service. Patrons shouldn’t have to wait too long for drinks, food or checks. Short of help those nights, perhaps, or poor staff. On preparation issues, the food should be replaced if it’s not as ordered to the point it’s being sent back.
Thinking about this, I should add maybe 12/14 years ago I brought home three takeout meals from here – two meatball dinners which were not successful, but that was quite awhile ago. It may be why it took so long for me to frequent this eatery again, but today’s experience was a pleasant one and it’s worth visiting.
Four desserts are available (all cakes), panini, wraps, grinders, hamburgers, salads and baked pasta dishes. Beer and wine. Menus are online.

I have had a HORRIBLE experience. I call at 8:30 to get my food that was promised to me and they said were closed. They will not remake my promised food nor give me a refund. Suzy is the most DISRESPECTFUL lady I have ever encountered in the food industry. I have no idea why this owner doesn’t take pride in their business. Michelle is the nicest worker there and has been VERY helpful. My problem is still yet to be solved and I have yet to get my money or food back it’s been 4 days.. very disappointed in this place I like the food but it has been a horrendous experience and I just want everyone to be aware of what will happen if their food gets made incorrectly even tho you told them what to do. I rate this experience overall a 0.6 /10. No exaggeration

I accidentally ordered from the wrong Sophia’s. I called to explain this and I was directed to contact “slice” (that’s where I ordered from) for a refund. Prior to contacting slice I ordered My order at the correct Sophia’s and called “slice”. Alice contacted this restaurant and my $80 refund was denied. I called To confirm with the woman who instructed me to call slice and she confirmed no refund. I drove 45 min (which they were notified of the distance I would drive to get to them) to get my terrible greasy order. By the time I arrived Home to my party of 12 the food was cold of course. Reheated it was absolutely disgusting! Thank God the Sophia’s I intended to order from gave me a 50% discount for the trouble I had Went through.

Meatball & Sausage Parmesan Grinder with peppers and onions. Meatball & Sausage were great. The peppers and onions were sauteed fantastically. The choice of peppers was also good, spicy, but not too spicy. There was a nice amount of sauce and cheese. The grinder roll was a solid week past the fresh mark. It was hard, dry, and crumbly. The grinder tasted great. The mess of the hard crumbling roll was all over me. With every bite the hard crumbling roll just squished under my teeth and the fillings just squished out the sides. I finished with a knife and fork.
