We had our rehearsal dinner at The Barley Neck and wow. The entire team was so helpful and knowledgable in making our night special. Cam was instrumental in the beginning phases of booking our evening. We were able to reserve the new back bar and dining area – it made the event feel really special. It was private but not closed off, not to mention we got to utilize the outdoor lawn a little. Caroline was really easy and nice to work with; she graciously helped my mother-in-law with all the details and knew all the right questions to ask.
As semi-locals, we knew the menu inside and out which allowed us to pick some favorite dishes, but Chef Tyler and team made a few special dishes we requested that were just superb. We were so fortunate to have an awesome spot to kick-off our wedding weekend, it being a local restaurant we love was the cherry on top. Thank you, BNI team!

If i could add more stars I would. I dont know to describe in words how much we love this place. We celebrated our wedding here about a year ago and it was pouring rain but it turned out better than we could have imagined. The food is always phenomenal, drinks are perfect, but most of all – Cam and all the staff always go above and beyond (& more) if possible. Our family flew in from all over the world and everyone still raves about the BNI. We were back this weekend for our one year anniversary and it was just as good as we all remember. This place is so special to us and to everyone who comes here. Love them all and everything about it. Cant wait to bring our future kids here one day. <3 <3

My favorite place on Cape! Amazing staff who make every meal taste better than the last. Come here if you like good food and great people! (Take-out pizza on Nauset beach is a one-of-a-kind experience)

Great vibes and very good food. Was sad not to be able to try the lobster cacio e pepe, but the shrimp scampi was also very delicious. My drinks were great too!!!

I called in a pizza tonight and was pleasantly surprised to have the most interesting and best pizza I have had in a good long time! I ordered the Funghi e Tallegio pizza, whose official ingredients are as follows:
EVOO base, roasted mushrooms, brie cheese, fresh rosemary, red wine-fig reduction, baby arugula
The crust was thin, crispy with cornmeal, bubbly in all the right places and cooked to perfection. I appreciated there was no sauce because I could really taste all the wonderful toppings.. dabs of a delicious fig/wine jam, slices of brie, mushroom slices and adorable little sliced & whole Wild mushrooms, and all sprinkled with the freshest arugula. It was incredibly delicious and I will definitely be getting another one soon!

Ordering was simple online, it was ready in under 20 minutes, and the price was more than fair for how original and perfectly created this takeout meal was! There was some interesting sheet of paper within the pizza box that kept crust crispy and moist.
Highly recommend!

I sat alone at the bar. I really enjoyed the nice conversation with the bartender and the local patrons. I ordered one of the mocktails called Virgin Islands and that was damn good. I had raw oysters which were not that good. I was expecting better flavor. They were presented well and shucked cleanly but the taste was not for me. I had the butterscotch dessert. The first few bites were fantastic, but it started to feel kinda heavy and flavorless after a while. It might be good to share or maybe have with a cup of espresso but by itself it didn’t keep my attention. The place was really busy on a Thursday night in mid October. I got the last parking spot. I had to wait 5 or 10 minutes for a spot at the bar. Friendly staff and good vibes. I’d go back for the mocktails and conversation for sure.

The Barley Neck is a fantastic place, can’t recommend it enough.

We have wanted to try this place for a number of years. We always heard great things about it, but never tried. There were grounds for a special celebration, so we naturally knew where to go–The Barley Neck!

We had an appatizer of friend green tomatoes (which were super good), the seared tuna entree (from their somewhat standard menu) and scallops over their homemade, fresh pasta that were on special. Both dishes were fantastic, but the seared scallops really stuck out. The dish was perfectly seasoned, creamy and incredibly delicious.

Although we didn’t need it (the quality and quantity of food was perfect), we were asked about dessert. Since it was a special occasion, I was on the fence. When it came out that we were celebrating a special milestone, Gwen (our server) sealed the deal and offered a dessert of our choice on the house.

The flourless Chocolate Torte was so decadent and delicious. Although not made in house (they source most of their desserts locally though) it was so very good.

Top notch food, staff, atmosphere. All around a really great experience and I’ll recommend to anyone they give it a try.

A few things to note. The prices were reasonable (a bit higher in general since were on Cape) and the parking can be a bit challenging. There’s extra parking behind the building FYI. Definitely make reservations, you can do it online. There is also a yard space with corn hole and nice music. On a fair weather day, sitting outside would be great.

Anyway, stop on it and give Barley Neck a try!

The Barley Neck is a decent higher-end restaurant in the Orleans area. The interior has a busy, but nice vibe. The service is good without being annoying. The cocktails are excellent. The food, is a bit hit and miss. I think they might be trying too hard. As an example, I had the chicken pot pie… what I got was a deconstructed version of basically a chicken leg served next to a biscuit with a bit of gravy on the side. A bit disappointing. But the prices are not crazy, and the experience overall was nice.
