I’ve been going to chicken express since 2012. For a while it had gone downhill after the original owner sold but visited recently and I was excellent. Everything was freshly made.

I saw it by chance, and really wanted something that wasn’t pizza, sandwiches or burgers, so I gave it a go. Half chicken with potatoes, a beef skewer and baklava. I was ravenous, and figured the extra would top me off.
What?… I’m a big eater. 😛
I was not only pleasantly surprised at how hefty the container was, in terms of portions, but also pleased at how good it all was. Nothing was bland. Flavor in every bite. AND there was so much food that it’s turned into two meals.
They even sent the side salad and pita bread. Love the dip.
I’m adding this to my list of places to break the cycle of truck stop food, and will absolutely be ordering from here again next time I’m in Salt Lake!

Not bad a place to eat but the place is showing wear and tear in their seating and chairs. Been wanting to try this place a couple years but now, I finally trying it. Order the #2 and #16 on their menu. The #2, enjoy their zesty like lime flavor chicken which wasn’t too dry and the rice that came with was wonderful. This just base on my taste bud. Salad was good although the dressing should came on separate little containers so we can to our desired. #16, the steak kabob could be tender but chewy. In general, it was a good dinning experience and price wise is moderate for this kind of dinning with inflation to factor but will try something else on the menu.

Salad was good. Everything else was okay. Most of the food just tasted pretty bland/store bought. Chicken has good flavor, but nothing out of this world. Prices aren’t great for what you get, but at least the cashier was kind and quick with our order. DON’T get the teriyaki chicken. It tastes the way dog food smells.

I ordered 2 whole chicken togo with rice and salad and I wasn’t sure what to expect. From what I observed as I was waiting, the chicken was already pre-charred when they took it from their fridge inside a clear container. It looked like they were just warming it up for me. I had a little dry heave as they placed the warmed chicken into their styrofoam trays. My curiosity overcame me so I took the food home with me to try it out.
The chicken tasted okay but dry possibly because it was a left over from previous batch. I cannot say when it was cooked but I guess that is how they prepare them in this restaurant. The rice was also on the dry side not the normal nice and fluffy rice you get from other outlet.
Buyer beware and consume at your own discretion. I wished I had it on video.

Enjoyed dinner at Chicken Express! My wife and I ordered the Gyro Plate. Great flavored rice. The Gyro meat tasted really good. The Tzatziki sauce was wonderful. Great portions of rice and salad. Would have liked more pita bread. Next time, I’ll order an extra side of pita bread to fix that. Service was fast. Restaurant was clean with lots of seating. Worth a visit for something quick and different.

About six years ago The Ultimate Broiler and Grill closed in Orem. I was so sad! It was the best Greek food hands down! Through some searching, I found that it had moved to West Valley and is now called Chicken Express. I have been driving to West Valley for my Greek fix ever since! I love the chicken and beef kebabs. The salad is delicious. The rice is perfect. The lamb is unmatched. The owner is so kind and even remembered me when I found him in West Valley. I will continue to come here all the way from Orem, it is THAT GOOD!
