Stumbled upon this place almost by accident and couldn’t be happier. You walk in and the feel relaxed old world atmosphere. The special of the evening was pasta stuffed with veal, pork, spinach, and Parmesan cheese in a nice pesto sauce. Had no trouble cleaning my plate. Washed it down with a wonderful Lambrusco wine and finished the night with an amazing tiramisu. Our waiter was wonderful as well and his recommendations were spot on. Can’t wait to be back.

Every time we come to the city, we have dinner at Monte’s. The perfectly portioned food is authentic and delicious paired with exceptional service. We love it here!

Classic old school Italian joint, very easy to walk in and have a nice meal. Had the short rib special, which was good if not great. Felt a bit conveyor belt quality and not necessarily made with great attention to the meat’s flavor or temperature.

Perhaps the best traditional, comfort, white table cloth Italian restaurant in Greenwich Village. It’s been around for over 100 years and there is a good reason – current owner and chef Pietro Mosconi has been making outstanding dishes here for over 30 years. I had the special Agnolotti Ravioli and my wife had the short ribs which fell off the bone. Service from Daniel and Alphonso was top notch. Pietro makes his own tiramisu and tartufo. I have been going here for over 30 years and I have never been disappointed. Just go and enjoy lunch or dinner at Monte’s. You won’t regret it!

Great food. Quaint and cozy setting. Very friendly staff. The food was decent, homemade style. Portions are not large for sharing. They have an upstairs that can seat larger groups. The highlight was that the owner waits by the door to shake guests’ hands and chat with them when they leave. That is old school and personable. Great dining experience.

Very well done. Lovely place. Has an old school Italian vibe. The ambience is quite nice. Not over the top, classy. The waiters are all professional, and could easily be casted in a Scorcizzi film.
Food is most excellent and the main attraction. Very vibrant, lovely on the weekend, terrific food. Attractive vibe.
Did I mention the food quality, amount served, flavor, in a classic Italian setting.
Oh and Adam the bartender rocks!
A must visit place.

We stopped by for an early dinner. It started out very quiet but quickly became packed with people. The food and drinks are excellent. Very traditional NYC restaurant, not like many of these new chains going up everywhere. Highly recommend!
