This is what the Parea experience is all about: great food, great people, and great times. Our fine dining can be experienced in downtown Valparaiso, Indiana, where we specialize in a variety of steak and seafood along with an array of appetizers, desserts, cocktails, and more. In addition to our dining room, we offer a full service bar area as well as a private events room that is perfect for a wide range of special occasions.

Parea is very good for an upper scale restaurant in downtown Valpo and could very well be my local favorite for a sit down dinner. The service here has always been very good and the servers seem like pretty down to Earth individuals (at least those I’ve spoken to). The atmosphere is very nice and the bar area is no exception. The food is the real show here and it (Mostly) never disappoints. The food is about what I’d expect, it’s very good, but oftentimes I feel like it’s lacking a little something that makes it really shine as opposed to other high end restaurants I’ve been to in other towns. It’s also pretty pricey which is expected for a restaurant of this caliber, but with that high price comes an expectation that the food will be excellent. And for the most part, it does not disappoint.

This was our first time at Parea and I was very pleased overall with our experience. I got the Blackened Mahi Mahi with a side salad and it was really quite good; the mango salsa was perfect with the fish and they were able to sub me rice for cous cous which was cooked very well. My boyfriend had the ribeye with the lemon rice soup and was equally as pleased with his dish, although a little disappointed they don’t sell the soup by the quart! My only qualm with the meal was my side salad. It wasn’t bad, it was just, a little lackluster. But that wasn’t what I was there for so I wasn’t really that bothered. I will say, they were pretty slow and I was kind of shocked considering how much we enjoyed our meal. Overall, it was a really enjoyable experience and we will definitely be back!

Food is always good. Service is good too. But our tip was changed on our bill. I reached out to them by social media twice and got no response. The difference was only $2 so not a big deal but it’s definitely not an honest mistake in leaving $18 andbeing charged $20. Not sure how that was managed but can’t say we will be back anytime soon and if we do we will just pay in cash and tip cash.

My work has their Christmas party here every year. The food is delicious, the staff is always very friendly and attentive. We are in the upstairs part and its always clean, has a bar and washrooms.

Parea is sooooo good! Second time the Wife and I have went here to eat dinner. We will definitely make it a trifecta soon. I would highly recommend this place if You are ever in Downtown Valparaiso. I had the Filet Mignon again since it was cooked to perfection the first time. And guess what, it was just as good the next time, if not better. With Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus, You can’t go wrong!

This is a really nice restaurant, very classy decor. There was soft jazz playing in the softly in the background and it’s a really nice place to have date night.
We were greeted and seated right away and our server promptly took our order.
My wife and I chose the filet and it was really good. Mine was ordered medium rare and hers was medium and both were perfect. The mashed potatoes were homemade and very tasty. The grilled asparagus was tender and good.
Overall this was a very good meal and we were very happy.
