This cafe appears to be a favorite among locals, which is always a good sign.

The latte prices are reasonable, and the ability to customize drinks, particularly the Matcha latte for less sweetness, is a major plus for health-conscious customers.

Overall, highly recommended for a solid, local cafe experience.

Delicious & Delightful!! Super cute little place w/ lots of nice areas to sit, no matter what size your group is. I had the Breakfast Bowl & a Mr. Miyagi (blended). I would definitely recommend both. My bowl had such a fresh taste w/ none of that fake butter stuff that some places cook eggs in. Pleasant surprise as I forgot to order without that. And I have leftovers, so nice serving size. Menu will suit any diet. Staff was very nice. Music wasn’t overly loud so it’s very family or conversation friendly. I will be back to try more on this menu!!

Good coffee here, and I’m picky about my coffee! I had a breve. The breakfast paninis were quite large and made with real cheese and good bread. The bowl was also delicious. It did take them a while to make the food, so long actually that we wondered if they were even making it or if they forgot. But the place was clean, service friendly, and the food tasty.

Rev is the best. I love their coffee, speciality drinks (fall especially) and the truly magical pumpkin cake. Their latest merch is awesome and their staff are so wonderful. The breakfast sando is delightful and hearty but not so big you’ll fall asleep at your laptop. I love the seasonal flowers and decor, and that Rev is a community spot – always sharing what’s going on throughout BRF and supporting local causes. Thanks for being wonderful, friends!

Excellent coffee and super warm and inviting atmosphere. The employees are incredible! The food was just okay at best. I ordered the chicken bowl and it was very dry and bland without a much flavor Maybe breakfast food is better. I came back again for the coffee because that is something to not be missed and had a scone, which was really yummy!

Went here in the fall of 2024, we were camping in the area and decided to visit town one morning. It was super cold outside when we went, and this place was incredible we popped in to grab a warm drink and I love coffee! They had some fun seasonal flavors and it was completely empty when we visited so it was nice to sit and relax for a moment to warm up! I’m still thinking about it this year, wanting to go back!

Not only is Revolution one of the best coffee shops I’ve been too, it was the most perfect place to host our rehearsal dinner! The atmosphere was amazing for us to host all of our favorite people for drinks and dinner. Their bar menu was fantastic and included a variety of wines and beers and they had their normal coffee and smoothie menu available as well! The plated dinner was fantastic. We chose Chicken Marsala and Lasagna for our entrees and they were delicious and flavorful! Everyone had nothing but good things to say about the atmosphere, drinks, food and the friendly staff!

It’s our first time here and my coffee order has been messed up three times now, and even when they got it right, it was way too sweet. The staff also didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming, which made the experience less enjoyable. I think the shop has potential, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both service and consistency.

I’ve been told to make my way to Black River to try out Revolution for a while. Made the trek this morning for breakfast and coffee and I am NOT disappointed!

Innovative, fun menu items. A large variety of flavors, including many sugar free options. I got the breakfast bowl (unfortunately I dig in before snapping a photo), the Mother Teresa latte with oat milk, and an Oat milk matcha latte with sugar free raspberry. I was happy with all of my order. If you prefer a “saucier” bowl I recommend getting some hot sauce on the side.

The decor and overall energy is great. Comfortable seating options for all, from sofas to lounge chairs to typical dining chairs.

The staff was super helpful and friendly. I got all the good vibes from both (I’m terrible at catching names; but this was Sunday morning of June 26, ‘22).

I’ll definitely come back to try some lunch or dinner. I highly recommend checking this amazing place out.

We hired Carrie and her team to cater our wedding, and overall our experience was mixed. The shop itself is lovely, always welcoming, staff always willing to help and super friendly, and the drinks are pretty good. Our tasting for the wedding was phenomenal despite the low price tag, which made us feel very confident in choosing Rev as our wedding caterer. Planning the food for our big day was great and Carrie fully understood our vision which reassured us after being burned by a sketchy caterer just weeks earlier.
Two weeks before our wedding when we were due to pay for the service, we were informed it may be difficult to staff our wedding properly unless we pay the “suggested gratuity” ahead of time. We were informed that the gratuity would be held at the owner’s discretion, which lowered our confidence that the staff would be tipped. We feel that it would have been helpful if the tip was instead listed as a labor charge or a service fee in our invoice rather than gratuity to avoid confusion, as we wanted to be able to assess service fully before tipping. We also were not given a contract, and were told they do not give contracts for their services.
Our rehearsal dinner was okay overall. The timing on food was awkward and guests were not sure what they could and could not eat. We have been retroactively assured that there was enough food for everyone so there was no need for worry, but a few of our guests were confused. The flourless chocolate cake was so delicious and they always do an amazing job with this one spaghetti squash dish with feta and tomatoes that I’m obsessed with!
Our wedding day’s food received mixed reviews by our guests. Our charcuterie board seemed to be received very well and folks enjoyed the snacks before dinner. Unfortunately one of the drinks that we requested for the portable espresso machine was missed (we had paid for the Johnny Appleseed menu option but only got apple cider). We were also told by guests after the fact that the apple cider was unavailable for about a half an hour, and they had to wait that long for their drinks. The cappuccino I received was a latte (no foam).
For our wedding dinner, we heard several times from family that the paninis were a little soggy and not grilled very well, lacking enough cheese and pretty dry (my husband and I can confirm this). The soup was cold by the time members of my immediate family were dismissed to get in the buffet line and they were one of the first tables.
We have spoken to Carrie about our mixed experience at length and although both parties (being Rev, and my husband and myself) are disappointed with how the service was received, we would still definitely stop into the shop whenever we’re in the area. My husband and I are happy that we were able to support a small business in planning our wedding, and we hope these comments are beneficial to Rev and assist future couples in conversations with Rev about how their big day will be catered. Thank you Carrie and staff for your dedication to our wedding and beyond despite these hiccups!
Edit: After consideration for a couple more details, we’ve knocked down our rating one star. We explicitly asked for no meat and they had prosciutto on some of the flatbread at our rehearsal dinner, something that really bothered me but was too overwhelmed to remember to say anything about. We also were unable to attain any photos of our charcuterie boards, despite us being told the day after the wedding that they had photos to send us; apparently no one on the team took photos.
