Dog friendly heated & covered patio. Great Irish food and happy hour drink specials. Ended up having the Irish Nachos and Sweet and Spicy Mac and Cheese. Would order both again in a heart beat. Overall the service was fantastic on a cool rainy day. Our dog Moose gave the French fries a 10/10.

Went for my dad’s birthday and it was amazing! It was such a calm and welcoming atmosphere right when we walked in the door. Kelsey was our server and she was awesome, didn’t have to ask for anything extra and she was super nice.

Pretty great place to be on a tuesday night. Not only is the waitress kayele always bringing the best energy and prompt service. But Rylan the dj is so awesome he is very personable and does his best to tend to all ages when he hosts trivia night.
I will continue to come as long as he is hosting. Maybe we can add a karaoke night

We love Donovan’s! Very friendly service, love the dog friendly patio. They have weekly specials on their Irish entrees. Hamburgers are great too. Recommended dishes: corned beef, fish and chips, bangers and mash. The beer cheese dip is lovely.

We’ve been eating at Donovan’s since we moved to this area 11 years ago! It has consistently great food at reasonable prices no matter when you’re visiting, but our favorite time to come is for Sunday brunch! The breakfast shoe is top notch. And don’t sleep on those pearl sugar waffles Bre is our server almost every Sunday we visit, and we adore her! She remembers our favorite orders and what’s going on in our lives. The whole staff is so friendly and welcoming. It truly feels like having brunch with friends! I feel so lucky to have a great neighborhood staple like Donovan’s where you know the food is going to great and everyone is welcomed as friends!

This is our go-to spot in Woodstock! Brandon, the owner, always welcomes us with a handshake and a smile. The food is fresh and amazing. Best wings in the surrounding counties. Service is prompt, friendly, and extremely attentive.

There’s a reason we come back time and time again. Donovan’s is our neighborhood watering hole and they know our family and friends by name as well as our orders.

Beyond thankful for Brandon and the team!

P.S. We even had our wedding reception after party here.

I wish I could review the food, but unfortunately when my dad and I visited tonight just before 7 we didn’t end up trying any.

When we arrived, the place was surprisingly empty other than a group of about 10 people at the bar, 2 of whom looked to be employees. Thanks to that we were sat quickly, but unfortunately that was the only thing that happened quickly.

While we waited we browsed the menu, checked our phones, and chatted. Both of us had decided to order the fish and chips and were looking forward to trying it.

I made a joke about how rare it was we’d had enough time to choose what we were going to order before getting our drinks, which made both of us realize exactly how long we had been waiting by that point.

It would have been understandable if the place was busy, but it was surprisingly dead for a bar on a Friday night. At first I’d assumed we beat the dinner rush, but as time passed I began to think that maybe we were experiencing at least one reason other patrons gave Donovan’s a pass.

Around 15 minutes in we still hadn’t even been greeted. Dad checked his phone again and gave me The Look.

We left and went to GameDay instead, which was packed, and despite the fact that we were the only ones who chose to brave the cold and be seated outside, we’d barely settled in before our server Valerie was introducing herself.

When we were packing up our leftovers I said that we’d probably still be waiting for our drinks had we stayed at Donovan’s.

Unfortunately we will never get to try those fish and chips as we will not be returning. I typically prefer to eat my dinner before sunrise, which seemed unlikely to happen there.

Donovan’s is our “go-to” friendly neighborhood restaurant and bar in Town Lake. Brandon and staff are awesome! Always feel welcome when I visit Donovan’s and I do on a regular basis because of their really great menu, service and prices. Love their Sunday Brunch. Take out orders are always right. If you haven’t been to Donovan’s Irish Cobbler, you should go and
see for yourself. Paul

All six of this one out for dinner. I had not been to Donovan’s so this was our first visit. So the only small thing that bothered was it was such a cold night and windy which is nothing that the restaurant owner can do anything about. But every time the door opened the cold wind blew in and was quite chilling. They did have the heat on and tried everything they could but it was still chilly
That being said, we had fantastic service. Our server even moved as farther away from the door when she saw it. It was chilly for us. The food came out was hot, fresh. Very tasty. Everything was well done. The chef/ owner came out to our table to make sure that everything was fine and we wound up speaking for 15 minutes. It was quite interesting and he was quite refreshing. Definitely will be coming back. This was an excellent choice for dinner and we surely enjoyed it. It’s kind of out of the way but try to find it and come enjoy some good Irish pub food.
