The restaurant appears to be very well managed. We sat in a booth in the bar. Employees were working hard as there were a number of customers. The barkeep was a petite young blonde woman, and I saw her lifting heavy boxes of bottles to another area, adding multiple bottles of wine to restock the shelves, and she was constantly on the move, working hard.
It was quite busy so it took a while for our waiter to get around to us. The bread was being finished and he promised to bring it shortly but we ordered our meals and drinks.
The food was excellent, as usual. Olive Garden has a luncheon menu that features some of its best offerings, served in smaller portions at a lower price. It makes a good restaurant even better by giving diners a choice — the full-size serving or smaller portions. It is always nice to have a choice.
There is a decent wine selection for a restaurant that is often full and less expensive than some higher-end establishments. I usually opt for the Robert Mondavi cabernet but tried an Italian red blend on this occasion. It was a good choice and a very reasonable price for the glass to accompany the spaghetti and meat sauce for lunch.
The bread appeared after we asked for it and after we had finished the meal. It was fresh and hot despite the late arrival.
Parking was not a problem. The food was very good, and the service was not bad at a busy time of the day in a busy. restaurant.
We will definitely return and probably add one of their excellent desserts on the next visit. –
The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food arrived within a reasonable timeframe. Overall, a consistently great dining experience and a restaurant worth coming back to.
Great food, great portions and all arrived HOT!
Steak Gorgonzola was done perfectly (as usual).
Manicotti was also perfect. Great flavor!
Great size portions – Lasted 2 meals for each of us.
It was delivered with breadsticks and salads. (Choice of soup was offered)
The staff is consistently friendly, the service is efficient, and the food is exactly what you expect from Olive Garden: reliable, familiar, and perfectly fine for a casual night out. Nothing exceptional, but nothing wrong with it either.
The only reason this location isn’t getting five stars is cleanliness. The dining room, carpeting, and tables could be maintained better. It’s not terrible, but it’s noticeably below what it should be.
What makes this especially frustrating is that the restaurant clearly meets health and safety standards in the kitchen, or it wouldn’t still be operating without issues. So if the kitchen can be kept clean, why not the dining room?
With just a little more attention to cleanliness, this would easily be a five-star neighborhood spot.
