My first time trying this place, and they left a bad impression on me. My usual burrito places are Taqueria Invicto and Burrito Parilla Mexicana but they were both closed today so I gave Don a shot. The food is comparable to those places but significantly more expensive, but also, when I walked up and asked for extra salsa, the staff immediately went into nickel and dime mode and told me I could have 2 TINY packets of salsa per (giant) burrito and pay 50 cents for extra packets, when I already paid $13 for the burrito. It’s also pre-packaged salsa, not homemade like the other places. Taqueria Invicto and Burrito Parilla Mexicana give you as much salsa as you want included with the meal, and I really hate bean counters trying to make everything a microtransaction, so unless my 2 favorite places are closed again, I will not be coming back here.
Oh, they also expect you to tip on takeout orders, so they probably don’t pay their employees well either.

Fast and friendly service. The food is hot and fresh. Crisp fresh lettuce, fresh avocado , crisp and ripe tomatoes. The chicken I ordered was perfectly seasoned and fresh tasting. It gave me the feeling of hand prepped. The hot sauce is amazing. Full of flavor and not too hot. This is definitely a place I enjoyed.

We were at Oakbrook center and we decided to try this place out. Food has really good quantity and quality. The only problems were that the taco salad needed more flavor and I feel that instead of giving out packets of sauce, they should give them in cups. The service was good and the atmosphere was clean. Overall, my visit was great and I encourage you to try it too.

We were here for the first time at oakbrook Center location. We ordered taco salad and nachos con Carne with plant-based meat. Taco salad could have used a little bit more flavoring because even after adding pico de gallo it didn’t have much flavor. No black bean option and only refried beans. Overall, a good experience and I may come here again.

I don’t know what happened to this place, rude customer service I don’t think they like cooking the food the way you want it be cooked if that’s the case why bother in asking. I like and food cooked well done and they had it very undercooked to my preference I asked if they could recook it to a better liking and they said no, which is fine however when I ask for some sauce i specifically asked for the light green in middle of the picture I received an orange one. I order from another cilantro and you can see the difference Which makes me believe that it could be expired from Oakbrook. If thats the case I don’t feel safe eating from here anymore as for me possibly getting food poisoned if they don’t like me enough.

The worst burrito I ever had, if you’re desperate and have to order one, better ask them to hold the lettuce. More lettuce than anything else on this horrible burrito. Never will I spend my money at this place again.

Went there on a Tuesday night and it was dead in the food court. Got the taco salad and it was so disgusting like a mushy pile of meat and overcooked rice. The employee was too busy on his phone to pay attention to anything so I had to keep getting his attention. Definitely will never recommend.

Clean cooking area, If you get a chance grab yourself some tacos the way you want we ordered 7 tacos asked for the tortilla a little more crispy and they delivered! It takes a bit of time but its well worth the little wait! Our fav salsa was the guac salsa with a kick, beware gauc sals

Hello! Don’t waste your time and money here. I had their 3 taco dinner with pastor, carnitas, and chile relleno tacos. Pastor was extremely dry and had an almost uneatable flavor. If I wasn’t hungry, hungry, and limited on time. I would have trashed everything and ate somewhere else. The carnitas were one of the worst I’ve ever had. Very dry and off flavor. The chile relleno was nothing special. The rice and beans were their best but small portions. Their tacos are also small. Skip this spot.
The service was fine, prices are reasonable for the location but not for the quality. Don’t eat what you don’t like, this food deserves to be in the garbage. I hope I don’t get sick because of had an off odor.
I hope they fix their quality, but regardless I’ll never eat at a Cilantro Taco Grill.

Unfortunately this is the worst Mexican food experience for me. The food is very bland. There were no flavors at all. And for vegetarian rice bowl there is no veggie other than stale lettuce, avocado and tomato. No veggie protein options either. Highly disappointed with the food and its quality. Ambience of the oakbrook food court mall is amazing – I wish there was Chipotle instead!
