Went there for brunch party of 6. The weather was clear and cool and being Feb that was a bonus. Parking requires ticketed entry but they share woth the marina so you can have it scanned upon exit no charge.
The restaurant is on the second floor so the view of the olympic mountains as a backdrop to the puget sound and shimmering blue water is perfect.
Our initial seating was on the south end and those seats have no shade so we requested to be moved. Other than that, the food, and service was superb. You cant go wrong here.

Holy Moly this place was lovely. We went during down time so it was easy breezy to get in. The crab artichoke dip was super yummy with giant pieces of crab and less cheese and mayo. Yes its true more meat with less binder, but all of it delicious. I have to say it was the first time I ever didn’t run out of bread with my dip. There was plenty of bread we didn’t even finish it all! The views were perfect, over looking the marina with a Hawks eye view. Downstairs wasn’t open so the top floor of the Resteraunt was the place to be. Anthony’s has restaurants all over it turns out. Good for them. The food is solid and delicious. Our bartender has worked there 38 years. I have a lot of respect for that, on both sides. He was awesome too! We had a great conversation and hopes that there will be another time we may come back. Definitely if you are taking a break in Des Moines, visit Anthony’s. I imagine it has a great independent feel compared to the one on the peirs in Seattle.

Cheers to our fabulous server, Melissa! Clone her! I took my Mother there for dinner for her 99th Bday. She’s in Asst’d Living, so it was a treat for her to dine out & enjoy a filet & I went with the rib eye. Absolutely wonderful gourmet quality & professionalism from beginning to end! Thank you for the nicest & only evening out that she has had in 1.5 yrs. We found a shuttle service for her to accommodate her wheelchair. Your other guests were singing HB & wishing her well! Thank you for a very memorable evening!
Patty Parker-Gillis & Mom loved it!

I really wanted to love Anthony’s because the location and service were truly top tier. The waterfront setting is beautiful, and the staff was attentive and kind throughout our visit, easily the highlight of the experience.

That said, the decor feels very outdated and a bit lackluster, especially for such a prime location. It didn’t match the elevated vibe the setting deserves.

The food was a decent value, but bland and underwhelming. Nothing was bad, just lacking seasoning. The one standout was the burnt cream, which was excellent.

Unfortunately, the margarita was a miss. I sent it back twice hoping for improvement, but it never quite hit the mark.

Amazing location, great service, fair pricing, but the food and atmosphere didn’t fully deliver. With some updates to the menu and decor, this place could truly shine.

Living in Colorado means that I’m landlocked, so anytime I have the opportunity to get good seafood I’m going to!

And the more local, the better. We wanted oysters that were fresh and Anthony’s delivered.

Paired with fantastic Sauvignon Blanc, and overlooking the water it was a perfect way to connect to the ocean while I was here. They had multiple oyster options and we were able to try them all, as well as their fantastic calamari.

Very much worth the stop if you’re looking for something that is both beautiful and delicious.

A Special Evening at Anthony’s HomePort. Des Moines

My dad treated Marianne and me to dinner at Anthony’s HomePort in Des Moines using a gift card he had received, and what a wonderful way it was to spend a Friday evening. We went at 4:00 PM the day after Christmas and were surprised to find it already fairly busy, and absolutely packed by the time we left.
From the start, our server was excellent. We were quickly greeted, had our drinks, and were brought warm sourdough bread, which was a great way to settle in. We started with a warm, creamy appetizer served with toasted, buttered bites for dipping. It was rich, comforting, and absolutely delicious.
For our meals, my dad ordered the sirloin steak cooked medium rare and served with broccoli and baby potatoes. It was prepared perfectly. Marianne ordered the same steak but requested it well done. It initially came out rare, but once we mentioned it, the kitchen quickly corrected it and returned it medium well and it was delicious, just a small hiccup that was handled promptly and professionally.
I ordered the seafood fettuccine, and wow, it was everything I hoped for and more. The noodles were perfectly cooked in a rich, garlic sauce loaded with prawns, shrimp, clams, mussels, scallops and vegetables. Every bite was outstanding and easily one of the best pastas I’ve had.
Marianne enjoyed the Anthony’s Burnt Cream dessert, which did not disappoint, a perfect way to end the meal.
Beyond the food, what made the evening truly special was sharing it with my dad. We lost my mom earlier this year, and she always loved coming to Anthony’s. Sitting there together brought back wonderful memories and meaningful conversations about her. It was a comforting, heartfelt night in a place that has always felt special to our family.
Excellent food, great service, and a warm atmosphere, Anthony’s HomePort continues to be a place we’ll return to again and again.

Exquisite dining experience a must done here when in the Des Moines area of Seattle. The sun was setting and made for an amazing time! Food and service is outstanding! I had a stater salmon plate with a salad. Clam chowder was better than Monterey! I ended the evening with the sorbet with huckleberry. Wow!!

Good food and great service! They were very accommodating for food allergies, and were easily able to make substitutions when needed. It was rather loud inside, and service wasn’t exactly fast, but overall it’s a decent place for dinner. I will say that menu items are rather expensive, so expect to spend a fair amount lol
