Honey told our server,
“That’s THE BEST taco salad I’ve ever had!”
(apologies for missing the photo opp).
I was late on the photo of the Beef Tacos (optional soft shell) but presentation of both orders were excellent. Refills on soft drinks, we had the lemonade. Broke the $20 date night budget but it was worth it. Honey remembered the place on the drive home as “great fish and chips” in years gone by.
Fish and chips future is a hopeful TBD next time we’re on that stretch of road.
Quick service.
Big tasty breakfast cooked just right with plenty of options.
Low pricing.
Customer service on point.
Very pleased.
Definitely recommend.
I ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, and biscuits and gravy. Now, I’m no chef, but I’m certain I could have gone back there, cooked my own breakfast faster and better.
Expectation # 1:
Scrambled eggs – scrambled in a bowl until thoroughly mixed. Then cooked. Maybe seasoned, but not necessary.
Reality:
Eggs were cracked directly into the pan and then mixed up. The result white with yolk mixed in. Not a properly scrambled egg. Now if I made it that way myself because I’m being lazy, that’s one thing. However, in a restaurant – unacceptable. This is scrambled eggs 101. Had the used scrambled eggs from a carton to save time, that would have been a better option.
Also, by the time the food came out, the eggs were cold.
Expectation # 2:
Golden buttery hash browns. We all know what this should be. Cooked in oil and butter. Uniformly golden, buttery, hot, etc. maybe seasoned, but not required.
Reality:
Not oily or buttery, quite dry. Mostly white and the outer part cooked, burnt in a few places, warm enough, but awful.
The biscuits and gravy were disgusting. Also, not hot.
The bacon was actually the best part.
The cook is either lazy or inexperienced. Hopefully, they understand the importance of a clean kitchen and avoiding cross contamination because as far as seeing food hot, that’s something that isn’t being done.
It’s only been a twenty minutes since I left, so hopefully there’s no food poisoning.
I left hungry, I didn’t finish my meal as it was just disappointing.
I didn’t say anything to the waitress because it was so bad, I didn’t feel like making a scene. There’s absolutely nothing they could have done in a timely manner to fix it. From the top down, there’s an utter lack of quality control.
Honestly, and I’m not kidding. I would have been happier with a McDonald’s Big Breakfast and Biscuits and Gravy.
It would have been faster, hotter, and tastier.
Skip Milton for breakfast, drive a little further and either go to Poodle Dog in Fife or someplace else.
LSS. The Tuesday tacos are nothing great.
At 3$ each after tax
They are NOTHING MORE than a family toco. Not ditching in em negatively. This is my truth. The ONE PERSON IN KNOW WAY CAN HANDLE THE VOLUME OF TABLES to a successful degree.
I know this as a Professional FOH staffer myself.
Otherwise. The BT would have had the ability to address those “Waiting to be Served “.
Never EVER BE CONSTANTLY LOOKING AWAY FROM THE CUSTOMER.
THE FLOOR.
THE BAR
THE KITCHEN.
AND……
ALWAYS BE GREETING EVERYONE ALL THE TIME. EVEN WHEN YOUR BUSY WITH ANY CURRENT DUTY.
I leave 3 stars bc the place has alot of BIGGER GAINS TO BE HAD.
CURRENTLY..I believe its being stifled by the ONE MAN SHOW.
the owner NEEDS TO MAKE AN EXECUTIVE decision.
More workers and out them on swing shifts.
Make the wait time much less. (From what my visit was).
The tables were somewhat busy.
One BT just CAN NOT provide great service. Let alone Adequate service.
Therefore, an additional wait staff needs to be available to sustain the demand. In that capacity, the other server would allow more patrons to experience the food amd the atmosphere. There by getting more people in the door.
Thereby getting more volume.
Unless the owner doesn’t want that.
I personally like Lines out the door.
Demand is a huge marketing factor.
Give me line ANY DAY.
Amd ill show you a happy and Greatful OWNER.
