My family and I have gone here for years, but we won’t ever be back after the service we experienced today. We placed a pickup order through door-dash, as we have done a few times before. However, this time we didn’t leave a tip, something we hadn’t done before. Mind you, we were never seated, served, or helped by staff in any way, shape, or form. Why would I tip a server I didn’t have? Conveniently our service this time was INCREDIBLY disappointing. Our food took way longer than we were told, only for the restaurant to be empty when we arrived, the employee let our food just sit on the counter while my husband was actively inside waiting for it, and they didn’t give us chips and salsa, then lied to our faces saying “it doesn’t come with it”. We door dashed their food 3 nights ago and got chips and salsa. However, this is not about the chips we didn’t get. This is about the blatant disrespect and disregard we were treated with because we didn’t tip. Tips are for waitstaff. Respectfully, grabbing a bag from a counter and putting it in someone’s hand is the bare minimum. No one deserves a tip for that. Years-long customers will never be back.

Hey so listen. I’ve been on this quest, I’m trying all the Mexican food places in town and I think I finally picked a winner. Everything I’ve tried has been really good, the beans have a pretty good flavor with a little bit of kick, the rice is pretty good. They chips are light and crispy. Today I tried their fresh guacamole and it was AMAZEBALLS!! They have daily lunch specials. Oh yeah I had sweet tea and it was pretty good too. The staff is super friendly, honestly this may be the best place in town!

This is the grossest place. I don’t eat here I pick up food and I witnessed the waitress drop the lil Styrofoam cups they put dip in on the ground and then just stack them back up furthermore their entryway looks like a storage unit for items long past. Joplin has way nicer Mexican food places!

First time I tried to go there and they were not open during regular business hours. I was told they opened later that day. I went back for lunch with a friend and we were greeted and quickly seated. Our waiter was very friendly and was joking around with us and made us feel very welcome. This was fine, but during the course of our meal he interrupted several times with playful banter and that got annoying. My friend ordered the King Quesadilla and I got the Mexican Flag. Both meals were cooked well, but I wish I would have got the King quesadilla as it looked amazing. My friend said he liked the King quesadilla. My Mexican Flag entree was good, but nothing special and honestly not very memorable as I am writing this review over a week after my meal and I can’t think of anything that stood out about it. Chips and salsa were good. Our waiter asked if we wanted hot salsa and was told it was very hot. We tried it and it was mild at best and is best when mixed with the regular salsa. Prices of the meals are typical as most mexican restaurants in the area. I hope they do well and I do plan to try them out again as I really want to check out that King Quesadilla.

We were greeted with friendly workers. They have chips and fresh salsa that will keep you for asking more. I had the best street tacos in Joplin. My partner gave his San Diego burrito a five star as well. The whole experience and food made it a very special night. Gracias La Hacienda Team!
