The food is scratch kitchen made on the spot. All you can eat. It’s just OK. Salad bar is good. Ambiance is very good. Great place to study and hang out – lots of light and great views upstairs when there’s room.

Since I last went to oaks, the plates have become smaller, now metal, they have streaks of water on them. I don’t think it’s unhygienic, just unappetizing. They also have smaller cups that are not as sturdy as I remember to be. Food, especially pizza has improved a lot, I would actually consider it better than a chain pizza place. All things considered this place has improved but the change to cheaper plates and utensils holds it back.

Also good improvement being support for various diets/dietary restrictions. Very cool to see.

Terrible, simply terrible. Frequent visitor to town and I was so so disappointed both times I tried to eat here. Walked out the first time because there was nothing good for breakfast. Second time paid and stayed for dinner but left feeling disappointed. No protein on the salad bar, pizza was terrible (how does a college mess up pizza), very little to eat that was “healthy”, no main dish, very very very noisy due to high ceilings and lack of stuff to muffle noise, just awful. If I was a college student I would not want to eat here. BGSU – do better! Twenty years ago the food was amazing on campus – go back to doing your own food.

The food is fine. Decent options, and some of it is actually seasoned. Standard college dining hall food. However, they keep the music loud enough that I can’t even enter the building without wearing headphones. The volume level feels actively hostile, to the point where I feel like I need to leave as quickly as I can.

Recently I’ve been insanely disappointed most of the silverware cups and plates are not clean I almost drank out of a cup that still had food debris in it that wasn’t washed properly. You have to pick through every plate, pick through any silverware you try and use, and pick through the cups just to make sure you’re not getting something that wasn’t properly cleaned. I also get sick almost every time I go there from how poor conditions they keep their food in and how much longer they leave them out. Its really disappointing because I use my meal swipes to eat here and it is really sad to know how greatly my options are limited by not being able to go to this place due to the quality being so low. I really hope they put in a little more effort into their general quality control. You are better off using your meal swipes at the other dining halls or even at the markets because at least the sandwiches are more consistent in their quality than anything at this dining hall. At least all the workers and staff are extremely kind and good people.

Dining place itself is nice and has plenty of seating options but the food itself is consistently cold by the time you sit down with your plate and almost everyone I know has either gotten sick or food poisoning at least once from eating here. The meat is consistently undercooked, often pink and fatty. Every once in a while there will be an exception of a great entree but it’s not everyday. I feel like I’m playing Russian roulette every time I decide to eat here. Most staff is polite but many of the staff also take their job too seriously and make rude remarks to students if they get in a line wrong or get “too much” food, and other such harmless mistakes. I once got accused of “stealing water” for using my cup to fill up my water bottle

With no exageration what so ever, every single dish was dirty. Coming from someone that was a dishwasher for almost a year, how the hell do you let dirty dishes go out to the students that bad looking.

So many delicious and surprisingly healthy options. REALLY enjoyed the butternut squash risotto! A great place to grab either a quick bite or sit and chat with others.

I ate here numerous times while my son was at a church camp. Wide selection of foods, my meals were delicious & employees worked very hard to keep the area clean. Highly recommend if you are looking for a variety of delicious foods & amazing service.
