The Flying Pepper Cantina remains true to fresh products, and in-house preparation as a matter of course. Our work has dispelled myths about fresh and local being out of reach for most. While Ohio growers are impacted by seasonal change, whole foods are still obtainable for the preparation on which we insist. We have a professional fresh food procurement specialist, and a very selective culinary team that work to help us reach those goals year round. The Flying Pepper is a recognized name because of the popular food truck founded by Humberto Nieto and Laura Haverkos in 2015. Bellfountain is known for good restaurants. This place did not disappoint. I was a little hesitant about trying this place as I heard mixed reviews. I have no clue why they were mixed. This place was great. The wait staff was attentive and upbeat. The food was fresh and delicious, and served quickly. It was cold when we got there, so we ate inside. It was quaint. There are two things that did concern me. First, there were about 10 appetizer choices and 8 of them revolved around corn chips. Delicious but somewhat limited. The other was that the seating area was fairly small. Warmer weather would open the outside and make things much better. Overall, an excellent experience; quick, delicious, and reasonably priced. Got my birthday food. My friends decided to go to a new town to explore and new restaurant. I love Mexican and Chinese so we went here. I got grilled chicken quesadilla and potato tacos. It’s super yummy. U must try it and get queso dip. We all loved our food. My friend bought everyone food. We got to walk around town n go to new shops too. Delaware and bellfontaine the best little towns to go to by far. Marion sucks. That’s where i live my friends r in Dublin so we like going to new places

The food was just okay. We were passing through town and needed something to eat. The decor is fabulous. The Al Pastor taco was a favorite. The trio appetizer was so so. Service was good. It’s a nice downtown area.

The food was great! It looked so good when brought to us I forgot to take pictures. We sat at the bar & the atmosphere is great everyone is friendly.
I had a sopa with shredded chicken & the shrimp tacos. Both were amazing, the tacos look small but are very filling. My boyfriend had the garlic shrimp & it was so flavorful & the perfect amount of garlic. He also ordered the pineapple jalapeno margarita & it was tasty. Casey our bartender told us all the juices are fresh made daily & the vegetables are locally sourced. Casey was very personable & fun. We will definitely be back.

We went for early dinner after visiting Ohio Caverns. The server, Drew, was super nice and accommodating. I wanted strawberry daiquiri which was not on the menu but they could make it and even asked me which Rum I would like and whether it was frozen or not. That was a great start! I ordered Grilled Poblano Dinner with Shrimp and my partner ordered Grilled Shrimp and Veggie Dinner which was almost identical but mine had poblano peppers and came with tortillas. Both were good and we were happy we went there.

Food was decent! Definitely more of an American version of hispanic food, but, it’s small town Ohio so is to be expected. Service Definitely needed improvement. Our waiter was slow and inattentive, had to request our check twice and still had to wait on him to take a drink order and a food order at two separate tables. Never offered us a box for our leftovers, never inquired on if we wanted/needed refills. There were other staff that paid more attention to us than our dedicated individual. Sat outside on the patio which was good, but a little music would go a long way.
