After many attempts at finding parking, I finally made it here. Best to try on a late Sunday afternoon. Had the chicken Basil and it was good but nothing to write home about. I really need to work on expanding my culinary palette when it comes to Thai food—-all I ever have is Chicken with Basil, so addictive!

My friend was in the mood for an Indian, chicken and rice dish. There’s no Indian restaurants near us so I suggested we find a Thai place. We decided on Thai Basil Lindenhurst.
Food:
We ordered the curry samosas, and vegetables chicken dumplings as an appetizer. The chicken and vegetable dumplings were delicious. The veggies gave them a nice crunch and the chicken was seasoned well.
The coating on the samosas was too airy. You could tell they weren’t homemade. The filling was lacking potato. The samosas were the only food i wasn’t crazy about.
I ordered the Garlic Chicken entree. The spice was perfect. Decent amount of chicken. I don’t like mushrooms, but whatever they did to cook them dried them out a bit and made them slightly chewy, but in a good way. I enjoyed them. A lot of bamboo shoots. I mixed my rice in and it made it even better.
Service:
The service was okay. The staff was friendly. Food came out fast and correct, but we had to call someone over for a water refill and for the check. If we didn’t we would’ve been there a while. Otherwise, no issues.
Atmosphere:
The restaurant was quiet, but kinda boring. There’s a lot of space and it looks clean. Its just kinda empty. They could do more to decorate and it would go a long way.
Overall, I definitely want to try more dishes and I’m looking forward to coming back

Came here for a late lunch on a Saturday and we were sat right away. The place is very clean and tidy, but nothing exceptional on the eyes in terms of ambiance. The real star of the show is definitely their lunch specials though. We ordered the Pad Thai and the Pepper Noodles, both with chicken. A perfect sized portion for lunch that comes with a drink and is only about ten bucks a person is about one of the best deals that you can find around these days. Deal proposition aside, the food is also delicious, I was craving a second bowl of noodles after the first and already had me thinking about what I was going to order the next time I come back. Would have liked if the waitress checked in on us a little bit more, especially since we were the only two in the place at the time! But we were still well taken care of at the end of the day and she was very polite. Parking can be a little tricky being right on Wellwood, you can park along the street, but I’d recommend veering off to the side streets for one of the municipal lots or parking just on a less busy street.

Welcome to Thai Basil! I discovered them on UberEats and decided to give them a shot. At the time of this review, they held an impressive 4.5-star rating on UberEats. Their menu boasts a top-rated #1 dish, Pad Thai, and a #2 option, Drunken Noodles both happen to be favorites of mine and my girlfriend’s.
As starters, we ordered the Coconut Shrimp, which came with six shrimp. While I enjoyed them more without the sweet chili sauce, the appetizer was still enjoyable. Moving on to the main courses, we started with their #1 specialty, Pad Thai which I got with chicken. Visually appealing, but unfortunately, the flavor fell flat. A splash of the provided lemon improved the taste slightly, yet it lacked the punch I was hoping for. The Chicken Drunken Noodles fared a bit better in terms of flavor, though they didn’t quite achieve the desired level of spiciness. I wonder if I overlooked an option to add extra spice to my order.
Kudos to the restaurant for delivering the food piping hot. Regrettably, I can’t wholeheartedly recommend Thai Basil due to the overall lack of flavor in the dishes. It’s unlikely that I’ll be giving this establishment a second chance.

This food was so fresh and delicious. I haven’t had really good delivery food in so long I was shocked how amazing this was. You can taste the lime leaf, the spices. The chicken was so good and zero weird pieces LOL. Thank you Thai Basil for having quality food when many places don’t seem to care about it. It makes a big difference.

I ordered uber eats from this place. I am highly disappointed. I ordered the Tom Yam Goong soup & Thai pepper steak. The soup description stated there would be shrimp. Upon receiving this item, I only had 1 shrimp & it was super oily. Wow I did not realize they would be this stingy. The pepper steak contained chewy pieces of steak. I also requested utensils & neither utensils or napkins were present. I was not happy with this order & will not order again.
Only pro was the food arrived hot so 2 stars will be given for that.

I must say, i was blow away tonight. Ive had Thai basil before and its always been good but if anyone hasnt tried the Shrimp Fried Rice- its a must! You also cant go wrong with the Pad See Yu. Just amazing! Cheers to the chef
