Super disappointed. Recovering from surgery and I just wanted some Miso Soup, their garden salad with the house dressing, and a spicy crab roll. I live pretty far up north and had family pick up an online order for me. First, I did not even get Miso Soup, it’s this not very good “onion soup” with a 4 thin mushrooms floating on top. If I wanted just broth, I would have warmed some up from home and I do not like mushrooms. The salad was okay but the lettuce is all very wet. My last complaint is that they packed the spicy crab roll right on top of the hot soup – so the roll is warm and steamed . No thanks.

I always choose Kaji in Kearney over any Liberty sushi/hibachi places. Everytime i’ve dined in, service is attentive and quick, and the fish tastes much fresher than other places. I got the kearney roll, and spicy crab. As well as steak hibachi. Everything was delicious.

The best crabragoon in the country! The staff here treats you like family and food is amazing. Things to know. Building is small and on end of week or weekend this place gets crazy busy. Because the people know this place is a 10 star mini restaurant.

Clean, pleasant restaurant space with great service. Our Crab Rangoon and Fried Calamari was fresh. The breading on the Calamari was great. We ordered the Heat Roll and Monkey Roll which were exceptionally made and flavorful. Our son got the kids teriyaki chicken, salad, and side of fried rice. The chicken came on a bed of fried onions that I made quick work of….wonderful. The side salad was basic, but had a ginger flavored dressing on it that I wish I had a bottle of to take home. We’ll be back.

KaJi Japanese Sushi and Grill has to be the very best food that I’ve had in Missouri since I moved here. This is pure authentic Japanese dining, and I am in love with the food and the staff here. They keep the restaurant spotless, are very kind, and served my family the best Japanese food I’ve ever had; so much so I’d rate this place a solid 10 out of 10 for those who love seafood.
Everything here was absolutely delicious and not to disappoint. However, beware, the Wasabi here will be the hottest thing you’ve ever had in your life, yet still a delicious addition to your meal. I’d highly recommend the seaweed salad here, personally I found it to be delicious.
Thank you for waiting on us and for making our visit legendary, we will be soon returning and giving you at Kaji repeated support in being a returning customer. Bless you all.

This is not a place to go if you are with a baby or in a rush and on a big budget. However for a road trip or a date night this is an amazing little, what I consider;hole in the wall location. Very small but beautiful from the atmosphere to the presentation of the food.

Been here in Kearney over 5 years and finally try out this sushi restaurant. Small and cozy restaurant with limited seating. Food prices kind of high and portion is much smaller than other sushi restaurants in other areas. Service was great, server was very nice. Sashimi was not very fresh, kind of taste frozen. Regular cooked sushi was not bad. Overall not so bad to try out. But I prefer going to much fresher Sashimi restaurant. Being the only sushi restaurant here, it is pretty decent.

small but welcoming place, slow service would be a compliment, after 30 minutes I’m still waiting for the starter. Many dishes were not available, I had to choose what was left, at 6pm in the evening this is not normal. The food is of good quality, but the wait is too long, 1 hour and 30 minutes for a starter and chicken on the plate seems too much to me. I won’t return, the waiting time doesn’t apply to the food ordered anyway.

Beautiful & peaceful when we stopped by on our trip. Great service. The sweet potato sushi was amazing! My kids favored the cucumber and avocado rolls. Would definitely stop again and hope our travels bring us back. We had a sushi feast

Good sushi! Definitely not inexpensive for how small it is but it’s one of the only ones in this area, so we went in to try. They have a good selection of sushi rolls, but also other entrees as well. The crab rangoon is VERY good here, and I loved their cooked sushi rolls too. Spent about $160 after tip and with alcoholic drinks.
